Grammy Award-winning duo Brandy and Monica Recently, we opened up about the inspiration behind their iconic hit “The Boy Is Mine,” how Ariana Grande approached them for the remix, and details of their upcoming tours.
Brandi revealed that the song idea came after watching the episode of Jerry Springersparked the concept of two women facing each other on the same man. She reached out to Monica – collaborating with her on the truck when she praised her great things. Monica initially thought fans might believe the two were actually rebutting, but the song was a huge success, winning Grammys for 13 consecutive weeks.
The singer also reflected on Whitney Houston’s deep influence, sharing memories of working with the legendary star.
