I love switching perfumes when the seasons start to change, so it’s time to break out Afternoon joywarm, cozy, sweet replica scent Maison Marguilla. I received it in a PR mailer when it was released last year, and the aroma is like sitting in a cafe in Paris and having pastries and coffee in front of me.
Keynotes: Madeline Accord, Sandalwood, Madagascar vanilla
So, at first you’ll come across a very creamy vanilla base, but not too sweet. Sandalwood and Madeleine notes continue to grind it down and trace the wood (so it’s unisex), and when it dries it gives a more refined smell. I wear it on its own, but if you want to add a little more depth, you can also layer it with a similar fragrance to other fragrances.
I’m not usually a big gourmand scent, but once the temperature starts to drop I start reaching for a more vanilla-based scent, Afternoon joy It gives off the cozy atmosphere that I love at this time of year, and is perfect for it.
