In Part 2 of our exclusive conversation, the former stars continue their candid discussion, address past missteps, and reveal whether they would consider returning for the reboot. america’s next top model.
sherry shepherd He pointed out that even though it’s been 14 years since they left the show, everyone is still talking about the documentary.
Nigel said that after nearly 20 years, he felt it was necessary to tell his story and that now was the right time. He acknowledged that many harsh sentences were handed down at the time, and acknowledged that some of what happened in that era is simply unacceptable by today’s standards.
Jay explained that while certain elements worked well at the time, things eventually went off the rails. He felt it was important to participate in the documentary to provide context and clarity. He emphasized that his intention was never to turn into a villain. Tyra BanksShe added that she personally witnessed how much she struggled within the fashion industry. He stood by her then, and now he wanted to stand by his truth.
J. Alexander In hindsight, I admit I made a mistake. He said his main focus while on the show was coaching the models and serving as a judge.
Jay also revealed that he has left the band. america’s next top model During Cycle 8, he admitted that his relationship with Tyra was currently strained. He revealed he didn’t know what went wrong and said she eventually shut out what he described as very painful.
