“I want to thank the commenter who recommended this novel. Beautyland” wrote a reader named Julie. “After reading one particularly shocking line, I laughed, cried, and threw the book. I don’t want it to end. Let’s make a post where everyone says, ‘Thank you to everyone who commented on CoJ.’ We can write a pile of gratitude and say, ‘How lucky are we that this site even exists?'”
Julie’s comment resonated with me, and I completely agreed with her that the CoJ community always comes through with humor and wisdom. Here are some things I’ve learned from CoJ readers, and I’d love to hear your answers too:
* “Whenever you’re in line at a buffet, be the first in line. Why doesn’t anyone else start? I’ll take that role any day.” — Sydney
* “One year my goal was to replace all my tiny, weird underwear with big panties and accept that I was okay with that. It was still the best resolution I ever made. When I bought underwear two sizes bigger, it changed my life. They’re so comfortable! No digging in! I bet this is how guys feel every day! I’m a die-hard big panties evangelist.” — Jen
* “When you have a heart-to-heart, ask someone, ‘Do I want to vent my frustrations or ask for help?’ That’s what my mom did. It was great to be able to speak freely without her having to take my opinion, and she would offer sage advice when I got stuck. did Knowing that someone loves you enough to listen to your complaints is priceless.” — Molly
* “New moms, if you’re doing it, you’re doing a great job.” — Anonymous
“Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Blush Stick Although it’s pricey, I use the shade “Poppet,” which gives my cheeks the cutest, naughtiest flush (in fact, I got rid of all my other blushes).” — Jade
* “My parents divorced when my sister and I were very young. Our lives took a turn for the worse financially because my mother refused to pay child support and only wanted ‘daughters.’ Growing up as a first-generation Latina in a time when divorce was rare for Latina women, I felt very alone. But… Little Women The March girls also had their own challenges, and poverty was a major theme in their lives, so it felt a little less lonely.” — Mallory
* “If you need to chop onions, put the cutting board on the stove and turn on the fan. No tears!” — Lisa
* “I once read a book that said we should think, ‘Just like me’ – ‘That person is mean… sometimes, just like me’ or ‘She’s completely unreasonable… sometimes, just like me’. This is a great reminder that nobody is perfect!” – Laura
Plus millions of books, movies, and TV series! Husbands (“It’s a really fun audiobook, especially the British accents,” Rhys said.) Deadlock Next is.
What about you? What have you learned from CoJ readers? ILYSM xoxo
