We got a seat at the kitchen table and had a snack with potato chips when our friends started out with a great parenting story. “After a long day with my kids, I desperately needed a few minutes,” she told us. “I decided to take a shower and told my six-year-old twins to play together in the bedroom. I saw them and said, ‘Please come only if it’s an emergency.’ ”
Two minutes later you guessed it – we heard our friend knock on the bathroom door. “Mom!!!” cried her daughter. “I need to say something to you!!!” She continued slaps until her mother got out of the shower and dripped naked and smashed the door.
“Mom,” my daughter said, her eyes wide.
“yes?!”
“Two Pomeranians survived the Titanic.”
