I have always been fascinated by the meaning of healing. In another life, my plan was to become a doctor. I studied microbiology, zoology and molecular genetics at university. I did cardiovascular research for four years after graduating and was eventually accepted into medical school before deciding on another path. Still, that was the pursuit that never stopped me from the classroom to the lab. What does it mean to be healthy? It was a seemingly simple question, but I learned that the answers are much more complicated.

Someone may be in body shape, but experience deep emotional confusion. Conversely, there are people who are in the midst of physical pain, but have the enviable lightness of mind and existence. Is health best explained in such a binary and dual way? Or there is a more overall modality to adopt. Is this something that goes beyond our composite physicality, where invisible elements seem to animate our sense of self?

Through these questions, I finally found homeopathy.

Understanding homeopathy and energy medicine

Developed more than 200 years ago by Samuel Hahnemann, a German doctor who disliked the harsh medical practices of the time, homeopathy uses nanodoses’ natural substances to treat a person’s physical, mental and emotional layers. After his own experiment, Hahnemann discovered that certain substances can be produced that can cause a series of symptoms in healthy individuals. Also If administered to an unpleasant individual, it cures the same set of symptoms. By stimulating the body Important power– It’s a homeostasis quest – aims to regain balance and resolve symptoms that cause someone Diss –It’s easy to begin with. This is the process of “currence of curiosity,” an energetic lock and key scenario. Homeopathy believes in the body’s own intelligence and tries to support it rather than restrain it as much as possible.

In many ways, homeopathic practices are old-fashioned and incredibly cutting-edge. Although the precise mechanism of healing still eschews modern understanding (the new study of quantum physics and water memory may hold valuable clues), many individuals come to it after suffering from chronic, unknown diseases. After feeling frustrated with the health care system that wants to systematize and generalize symptoms, the homeopathic approach to health is refreshing and allows you to assess how all aspects of a patient’s unique life experience can help your health status.

Homeopathy practice today

In other words, skilled homeopaths are as much of a detective as full-time healers. There is art and wisdom in how they approach healing, and to better understand more practice, I chatted with the classic homeopath and the savior practitioner of flowers Alexis Smart. Below, Alexis shares exactly how homeopathy and flower treatments, how they differ from other forms of natural healing, and why this modality can be a powerful reminder of what we actually witness.

PS Alexis has an amazing guide on her website and will explain in more detail How ordinary people practice homeopathy. If you’re as fascinated as me, it’s definitely worth reading!

Alexis Smart Collaborator

Alexis Smart

The founder of Alexis Smart Flower Remedies, a practitioner of Bach Flower Remedies, has for over 20 years, and Alexis, a classic homeopath, blends tradition with intuitions that support holistic healing. Trained by Dr. Edward Bach’s direct lineage mentor and world-renowned homeopath George Vitolkas, she helps clients regain their balance at both physical and energetic levels.

What are the useful frameworks for understanding homeopathy? What is it and what isn’t it?

Alexis: Most of us were raised with allopathy. In this system, symptoms are considered bad, and treatment focuses on elimination of symptoms through suppression, either by drug or surgery. Homeopathy is opposed in that it considers symptoms positive and views them as expressions of imbalance and as a body’s attempt to correct that imbalance.

Homeopathy considers suppression of symptoms to be a dangerous practice. This is because it can push the disease deep into the body and cause serious illness later on. Allopathy means the use of a drug to cause the opposite effect of the symptoms, such as the use of antacids for acid reflux. Homeopathy uses the opposite principle of “how you like.” This means giving a small amount of substance in a large amount that causes the same symptoms that someone is suffering from. This stimulates Important powerthis is like the immune system and is enough to overcome the disease.

For example, let’s say you have an allergy. Allopathy provides antihistamines to stop symptoms. In homeopathy, you will be given the therapeutic drug Allium Sepa, made from onions. We all know the streaming, burning eyes that we get when we chop up onions. Therefore, giving a small amount of this remedy to a burning person will actually stop the symptoms. (It’s the same idea as a vaccine, but it is safe in homeopathy, specifically tailored to the individual symptoms of the patient and should not be given prophylactically.)

Homeopathy considers symptoms to be positive and views them as expressions of imbalances and as a body’s attempt to correct that imbalance.

What is the difference between homeopathy and natural remedies? Are these often confused?

Alexis: Yes, oftentimes when I say I am a homeopath, they say, “Oh, my cousins do it. They are naturopaths.” But they are very different. Natural therapyI recently discovered when I consulted with many of them, and it still works on the same principles as allopathy. In other words, we consider the body as separate parts and organs. Naturopaths uses natural remedies, but still can consider a person as separate parts. in HomeopathyI don’t use lab results very often. Instead, we see a holistic representation of important forces without separating the body, mind, or spirit.

Homeopaths are most interested in how patients feel and the specific ways in which they experience the disease. Instead of many supplements and treatments that can take months, we give only one treatment and often the results are felt immediately. (If the homeopath is giving you multiple treatments, they are not practicing the homeopathy of the true classic Hahnemann.)

Another difference in homeopathy is that the patient’s emotions are the most important aspects to consider when choosing treatment. That’s what we ask in follow-up to make sure we’re on the right track. Mood improvement is what we want to see first, like the direction of treatment. Body healing always follows the improvement of mood. For the naturopaths I saw, they are interested in general stress and cortisol levels, but there is no real way to how they do it emotionally in my life.

How do you interact with people who think homeopathy is a pseudo-science or just a placebo effect?

Alexis: I’m learning more and more that people believe in what they do and it’s difficult to change someone’s mind, but one of the most enjoyable things is when a skeptic gets sick and agrees to try treatment. It is no other way to see them experience the miracle of being quickly freed from their suffering. They will become lifelong followers. For those who ask about the placebo effect, I remind them that the remedies are at work baby and animal People who don’t believe in medicine. They don’t even know they’re taking it.

Where does the essence of flowers apply to the realm of homeopathy? How are they created and it makes them a more gentle entry into practice?

Alexis: The essence of flowers has a connection to homeopathy, as Dr. Edward Bach, the man who discovered flower treatment, was a homeopath. His understanding of his homeopathic principles (very small) doses influenced how he prepares his flower remedies. Both are very diluted, but very differently made.

  • Homeopathy Mix the material, add the liquid, then dilute, Learning– The process of hitting the therapeutic agent multiple times against a hard surface to increase its efficacy.
  • Flower rescue It is made for several hours with flowers floating in a crystal bowl of spring water, causing you to feel nervous from the water. The water now has a soothing engraving of the flowers.

Homeopathy uses all kinds of substances. Even venoms such as arsenic and snake venom (diluted to untraceable amounts), flower relief is made only from the flowers. Homeopathy uses the “Like Cures Like” principle, but flower treatments work by providing only benevolent healing energy. Taking the wrong homeopathy can cause symptoms in sensitive people, but taking the wrong flower treatment is ineffective. Flower treatments are much gentler and easier to self-manage. Homeopathy is difficult to self-treat, except for actutes such as influenza and food poisoning.

Homeopathic Flower Savior Vase

What role can homeopathic salvation and flower essence play in a world of quick fixes and instant gratification? Can you explain why it is really art?

Alexis: These healing modalities must be maintained as these are medicines of the soul. Humans suffer on the level of their souls. The further we are from our connection with nature, the more we are lost and cut off. These remedies continue to truly connect us to our true self and our mental and emotional nature. The lack of mental connection can be a dark place. Since 2020, I have heard from many people who explain amputation and depression. I truly believe that flower treatment is an antidote to human suffering today.

In the 1930s, Dr. Bach stated, “Unless there is a change in outlook, peace of mind, and inner happiness, there is no real healing.” That was the universal truth back then and now.

Using these remedies is an art. It’s very “singer, not a song.” The remedy I chose for someone would be different from the remedy chosen by another practitioner. It depends on how I listen and how I perceive the patient. This is revealed in the patient’s choice of words and their stories. Perhaps someone else will hear something else.

How do you know which layers (mental, emotional, physical) are needed to be treated as a person first?

Alexis: In homeopathy, physical symptoms are the least important in flower treatments. So I always use the emotional layer as a guide to my treatment choices. That’s one of the beautiful things to learn. To understand that the body is just a pack mule of the mind. Knowing that when a person recovers to happiness, the body heals itself is a very empowering process.

In the 1930s, Dr. Bach said, “Unless there is a change in perspective, peace of mind, and inner happiness, there is no real healing.” That was a universal truth back then and now.

What are the three homeopathic therapies that advise everyone what you have in their medicine cabinet?

Alexis: I recommend it My kit for accidents and emergenciesbecause they’re all there, However, if you need three remedies:

  • Arnica 200c: It can even be useful in case of a car accident when you have a fall, blunt trauma, or stroke! Take one dose of 200c.
