Yes, this is starbucks I copied the toffee nut syrup recipe. Drinking a toffee nut latte used to be one of my weekly treats. I love toffee (think Heath Bar!). It tastes very pleasant to me. And this homemade toffee nut simple syrup boasts all the flavors, including buttery and caramel notes.

This toffee nut syrup can be used in all kinds of homemade drinks such as coffee, latte, sparkling water, soda (toffee nut cola? Yes, I’m interested), and in cocktails such as martinis and old fashioneds.

How to make toffee nut syrup

Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved and no grains remain.

Then add the toffee bits and stir. Simmer for 1-2 minutes.

Let it cool before pouringairtight containerInside the refrigerator.

notes for success

  • Do not boil the simple syrup for longer than it takes to dissolve. If you overcook the syrup, it will end up caramelized.
  • English toffee or bits are suitable for this recipe.
  • This simple syrup is thicker than regular simple syrup due to the addition of brown sugar and toffee bits. It still works well in drink recipes. I’m calling this out so you don’t think you did anything wrong.
