On finding a home: I started looking for a house in 2021, but it was tough. Everyone was over-offering and we were outbid many times. But one morning, I found this house and sent it to an agent. It wasn’t on the market yet, but the seller’s agent agreed to display it. At the front door, he said there was a superstition that people who open the door to an open house would have good luck, and I thought, “Let’s open the door!” After walking around, I turned to Josh and he said, “I love you.” What sold him was the kitchen – he was squirt About carpentry.
About that teal color: The previous owner loved the 50’s and wanted a retro kitchen. The dishwasher and garbage disposal were also removed. Some buyers wanted a more modern feel, but we simply added a dishwasher. Josh created a cover to keep it from distracting from the look of the space.
