“In 2018, I matched with a guy named Carl on a dating app, and he joked that we had the same name,” Carly says. That caught her attention, and after meeting IRL, the two instantly fell in love. “We served homemade desserts by the owner Sal’s father, including tiramisu, cannoli, and gelato. There was so much food that the staff packed to-go boxes and left them at the exit so guests could take leftovers home.” I made it.”
