There’s a lot of cooking happening in my home. Yesterday I had the urge to make corn muffins. Today, my partner Bill decided to simmer and simmer chicken for the tacos. That’s what we enjoy, largely Time. Until the work accumulates.
The joy of being self-employed is always worried about your future job, so you say yes to everything and panic when the deadline begins. During our busy week, we rely on emergency dinners. Think about it: freezer soup, riflayed bean quesadillas and a large bowl of popcorn.
But me sign The emergency dinner comes from my adolescence when my mother told my teenage brothers and sisters, and I’m tired of cooking for the bottomless pit, so I’m petted for ourselves. I opened a freezer filled with corndogs, red baron pizza and coconut shrimp. Life was good. To this day, my freezer always has a corn dog box.
I’m an adult who can do whatever she wants, so when my mind craves carnival food, I can have a corn dog for dinner. Isn’t life a circus? It makes no sense, and I mostly hang from an aerial swing. You can’t exaggerate the joy of eating food on a stick. I like to pair corndog with salad, but I’ll let you make that call for yourself. My favorite corn dog is Trader Joe’s turkey dog. They are plump and juicy with a barely sweet cushioned wrapping. Air-frying a corn dog will make it clean and crispy on the outside, but keep an eye out as it may risk charging the stick.
A few years ago I worked with a registered nutritionist because my body was confusing me (hello, Anthia!), and when I sent her a photo of my corndog and salad plate, she was happy with me. The plate was half vegetable and she knew I needed an emotional support corndog. She gave me the necessary verification: Yes, you cook almost every day. It’s as hard as hell! How do you give yourself a break and still eat a delicious meal? I soak a corn dog in multiple mustard. Step up immediately.
So, please tell me: What is your emergency dinner?
