  • 2 tablespoon Holland House Marsala Cooking Wine

Fondue “Dippers” (recommended)

  • banana slices
  • Assorted berries (blueberries, strawberries, blackberries)
  • orange slices
  • marshmallow
  • cube pound cake or brownie
  • pretzels
  • vanilla wafer

How to use the stove

  • Place the cream and chocolate in a small saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring frequently, until chocolate is completely melted (about 3-4 minutes).
  • Slowly stir in the caramel topping and Holland House Marsala Cooking Wine. Continue whisking as the fondue heats up.

  • Remove the pot from the heat and transfer the fondue to a fondue pot to keep warm. If you don’t have a fondue pot, just pour it into a warmed bowl.

Precautions

Note: You can find both caramel sauce and caramel topping at the grocery store. “Topping” is for ice cream and is thick. This is what you need for this recipe. If you can find caramel sauce, your fondue will be even better! Simply reduce the amount of cream by 1/2 cup at the beginning of the recipe. Once all ingredients have been added, gradually add the remaining cream until the desired consistency is reached. It should be nice and thick. It’s not a runny nose.
