5 tips for placing target flowers
The victory of gaining fresh flowers on your target means you can pick up everything you need at that time and there. Shearer, vases, even flower food? check. After picking up some flowers and taking them home, here’s how I can ensure a fresh, fresh and healthy arrangement that is not bought in the store.
Trim like a pro
I always trim from the diagonal stem from 1-2 inches and remove the leaves under the water. This helps the water stays clean and allow the flowers to drink it better.
Consider the structure
Sometimes I like to draw in some extra greenery as support for eucalyptus and ferns to create the basic shape of the flower. If you go for a monotonous look, these can also become the same flowers.
Let nature lead
Layer flowers by height and type. Some flowers are taller and others are tucked into the vase, giving it a more natural and garden gathering appearance. When you are in doubt, think about what you find in nature and trust the beauty of organic, imperfect shapes.
Don’t fill it up
To maintain negative space, you can prevent that “tight ball” look. Breathe in your flower room and if you don’t use them all, it’s fine. (And what is the bud vase for?)
Updates frequently
Maintenance is just as important as how you start. Every few days, I want to change the water, make trim stems again, and remove faded flowers. Once some flowers fade, remove them and add them to the compost.
Notable: Good Little Garden items are also available through targeted same-day services such as Drive Up and Order Pickup. Target Circle 360 members can deliver excellent small garden purchases to their front door through same-day delivery on orders over $35.
