How did your background influence the way you integrate wellness and cooking?
There is one quote that says it gave me the push I needed to start sharing what I learned and to start sharing what I was learning online. It is a quote by his sacred Radhanat Swami by a spiritual teacher, where he said, “Knowledge is of no use unless shared.”
We realized how lucky we were to have grown up in a culture where we had a delicious, lively, rich plant-based diet, taught by such an incredible teacher, to find and study Ayurvedic and holistic wellness. I felt that the best way to show gratitude was to share it with others. I saw how much it changed my whole life as well as my health, and I wanted everyone to be able to experience the same joy and change I felt.

Tell us about your career and starting a business. What was your life as an entrepreneur?
It was constant learning. If you are an entrepreneur and work for yourself, it is not always appealing. You have to be able to do everything. You can understand your entire business from the foundation, as you have to do things from scratch.
When you are an entrepreneur, you are choosing the path of what you want to do, so even when it’s difficult and exhausted, it belongs to you and there is so much passion, dedication, and motivation.

What has your biggest learning experience been in the past year?
To face my fears. I take on what I have avoided out of fear. And it made me realize that when you’re used to something it doesn’t get too scared.
