It’s here soon! The sun is shining, your nearest beloved bridesmaid arrives, and expectations for your wedding day are bubbling. Everything from the flowers to the seating chart is planned in detail, and everyone involved is fully organized. In fact, there is one last important task left. Bag packaging.
Packaging for summer weddings is a unique art, especially when you are a bride. You need to be fully prepared for what the weather may cast your way. If you tie the northern hemisphere knot in July or August, you already know that you expect the infamous high temperatures.
But there is a desire to go beyond the heat, to be excited, to be long and simply to be comfortable, to enjoy every moment. From essential SPF to clever tricks like sucking paper for touch-ups to protect your skin, we have you covered. Get ready to discover everything you need for a summer wedding. This way you can really enjoy your special day with just one intermittent intermittent. You’ve won it!
Essentials for the weather
In summer, being blessed with good weather means not only in a figurative sense, but also keeping you cool. A portable fan and breathable layers are absolutely essential, as the bride spends time in a potentially suffocating room. Preventive sun cream is another must. While exchanging vows, no one turns bright red and doesn’t want to be burned. Similarly, emergency hydration is important.
For those who remain in the UK, a little caution is important. It may be summer, but the UK weather is unpredictable, so packing light rainwear is a wise move.

Beauty & Emergency Kit
For many brides, their makeup is an exciting part of the process. Charm, professional makeup artists, photos – it’s all part of the whirlwind of beauty vortex for your big day. But the summer bride faces a unique problem: sweat.
Underwear and bridal lingerie
Your daytime fabric choice is important. Choose materials suitable for summer heat, such as lightweight cotton or silk. Lingerie is always included in your Tryon session, as some dresses may require invisible underwear.
Clothing, shoes, accessories
Consider a silhouette that allows movement and airflow. If the atmosphere is a little more playful, think of an A-line, a gentle trumpet, or a sophisticated tea length or MIDI dress. Sleeveless or off-shoulder style is a dream to keep you cool, while subtle open backs are practical while adding a touch of romance.
So let’s talk about shoes. The dress may steal the show, but your footwear is a silent hero all day long. Comfort is just as important as style as you stand up for hours from walking down the aisle until you dance through the night. Think about the venue: grassy grass may call wedges and block heels, but the ballroom allows for elegant stilettos. Don’t forget to have a backup pair! Even cute and comfortable flats and stylish sneakers become lifesavers when your feet begin to protest hours after the blessing.

Summer Wedding: 5 Things That Don’t Go
Unfortunately, there are five things that are wrong with a summer wedding and how to keep you cool (literally, figuratively!).
- 1. The warm one is burnt!
We all dream of a warm, sunny wedding day, but sometimes “warm” quickly escalates to “burning.” High temperatures can lead to unpleasant guests, wilting, melting makeup, and even heat fatigue. Imagine your beautiful cake drooping.
How to fight it: Prioritize the shade, provide plenty of water and cooling stations (inject water, lemonade, and even Mr!), provide paper fans and umbrellas, and consider holding the ceremony in the cooler parts of the day, such as the evening or early evening morning.
- 2. Uninvited Guests (6-legged types)
Outdoor summer weddings are idyllic, but come with a guest list that includes mosquitoes, batsmen and other flying nuisances. Nothing moisturizes your heartfelt vows or a fry dive that bombs wedding cakes, like a guest swatting a bug.
How to fight it: Please consult with the venue in advance about pest control measures. Incorporate natural repellents into your decorations, such as citronella candles, lavender and rosemary plants.
- 3. Sudden summer shower
Just when we thought the predictions were clear, we decided to bring in an unfair summer storm. A little rain on your wedding day is probably fortunate, but a downpour without a backup plan can quickly change fascinatingly.
How to fight it: Always have a solid plan B for outdoor weddings. This can mean renting a tent on the right side or having an indoor alternative to the venue. Everyone is on the same page as we discuss rain plans with all our vendors, especially photographers and caterers.
- 4. Meltdown makeup and hair humidity disaster
Between the heat, humidity and happy tears, keeping your hair and makeup fresh is a challenge. The foundation of curly hair and striped patterns is the last thing a bride or her bridal party would like on such a photo-heavy day.
How to fight it: Invest in waterproof and long-term makeup, work with professional hair and makeup artists who specialize in summer looks and have strategies for humidity. Provide soup to the emergency kit and set up spray.
- 5. Vendor availability and higher costs
Summer is the peak season for weddings. In other words, the demand for venues, photographers, florists and caterers is at the highest ever. This may limit the availability of the best options, and in many cases, the prices are higher. Too late may mean compromise on your dream team.
How to fight it: Start planning early! As soon as your wedding date is set, you will start reaching out to the essential vendors. It will take it to the budget from the start, in preparation for potential price increases due to the popularity of the season.
Let’s wrap it in…
