After high energy and high fever in summer, I always love the gentle shift to autumn. It feels like a deep breath inspired by the light and spinning leaves. With the cozy atmosphere of the new season, I’m back at the ritual of the AM that I nourish.
My morning routine is the rhythm I’ve built for years. It came back to college when I was craving structures in the midst of so many life transitions, and from those practical steps I found comfort and comfort. Now, my morning routine is my daily return, a compass to diagram my progress on what’s most important to me.
Here’s how this season’s fall mornings are romantic: There are some favourite fall discoveries from your partner’s target, and the practice is beautiful and tuned.
Soft Start: Sleep Score and Skin Care
After waking up, the first thing I always do is check me out Woolering statistics. I’ve been using it since Christmas (Adam and I gave each other gifts), and I love how I slept, especially how I got deep sleep and a lot of REM sleep, and how I gave insight into whether my body has fully recovered. It helped me to get more harmonious with what I actually need every day.
Skin care is as follows: I always do this first thing to wake me up and soak up all my products while all my products do the rest of my morning routine. I keep my AM skincare quick, streamlined and consistent. A mild cleanser, vitamin C serum, and good sunscreen are non-sympathetic.
Then I pull on some cozy loungewear. Wearing something soft and breathable is a mental signal that the day is beginning, and it’s time to make it easier.
My Morning Coffee Ritual
From there, coffee. I love my coffee ritual and I look forward to it the night before! Rather than viewing it as something you “need” to go in the morning, you see coffee as your own snack. Using your favorite mug or sprinkling some small cinnamon is a way to move to creation mode. It’s a very sensory experience. From the smell of beans to the smell of milk, I try to exist for it. Without feeling rushed, we put the ground and joy in how everything comes together. Coffee lovers know: there’s nothing better than this simple pleasure.
Create a gentle shelter
I believe that our surroundings change our mental state and I want to create an environment that feels like a cozy coco. It’s the pocket of peace before it officially begins. I light a candle and set it up in my living room. There are throw pillows and yoga cushions on the floor. This makes me feel like I’m in a different headspace than if I was sitting at my office desk or still in my bed.
One page per day: intention, prayer, creativity
As AirPods and Sothing Playlist progress, you will begin the journaling ritual. I can write in a journal for a long time, or use the Evernote app and Apple Pencil to write, sketch, and type everything in one place. This allows me to revisit old entries to see how I grew up, give answers, find newsletter inspiration, and more.
My mornings always start with prayer. For me, this takes a little time to feel God’s presence and it seems that the stillness inspires me the way I want to move during the day. From there, I write what’s in my mind and prioritize three guides each day. Sometimes they are work-related, sometimes deeply personal, but these are small, stable steps that get me closer to the life I’m making.
Nourishes from the inside
If I spend that time connecting with myself mentally and mentally, my body is ready for nutrition. In autumn, you can start your day with a cozy breakfast craving, and a delicious bowl of protein oatmeal is your go-to, usually or without grains. Add protein and chai spices to enhance coconut, pear and walnuts with several textures. I love a one-bowl breakfast that can fuel me until lunch and this does the trick. This is when I don’t forget to take a picture of my daily supplements, like my probiotics and multivitamins.

TL; DR: I’m not trying to do it more This fall – the goal is to ensure my time is aligned to how I define success in the end. Although autumn has its own busy pacing, my morning routine helps me prioritize rather than start the day in reactive mode. We hope you can feel inspired to make your mornings feel the same.
