Trader Joe's Best Food

I recently rediscovered the specific fun of Trader Joe’s good long shop. I went regularly in my 20s (mainly for wine), but later married a stubborn TJ who “wields” the store. cute A lot of everyday life – therefore, I will eliminate the reason why I do so. But Trader Joe is a constantly changing wonderland and I was excited to find some old favorites (still good! still priced!) and find some spectacular new ones. This is my current top 10…

Garlic spreads the dip. When I first bought this, I made the mistake of buying just one. I had planned to try it on various dinner items (spread on chicken breast! I dropped it on baked potatoes!). But before I started cooking, it was gone. I’m sure it’s great in all sorts of things, but I can say it’s God on a suspicious cracker.

Mushroom risotto. I love risotto and before my daughter Margot was born I carefully added stew, soup and wine while hovering on the stove. But Margot doesn’t have time for all that fuss. TJ’s risotto took 5 minutes and when I first made it I was almost annoyed at how good it was.

Rainbow End Trail Mix. For me, this is the only trail mix. I haven’t yet found another one that is salty, sweet, crunchy, chewy, and nails the balance of the tart very well. If they stop making this, I simply stop eating trail mix. (Please don’t stop!)

Soft and juicy mango. Everyone in my family has a pack of these dried mango slices in their backpacks. They last forever, take up no space, and are incredibly satisfied. I don’t travel by car without them.

Jojoba oil. I am a major hand cream lover. Can you write an entire list of huge hand creams that help dry skin but for cuticles? There’s nothing like this. oh. Did anyone know about jojoba oil? It’s like a magic eraser for the terrible bits around your nails. I put a few drops once a day, as if I didn’t even have a cuticle? !

Vegetable bird nest. But back to the food. Can I talk about vegetable nests? They are very good and very unsung! Every time I go to the store, everyone passes them on their way to dumpling, so I’m worried that they’ll find them cancelled. And I allow you: on the box they look like tangled wads of rubber bands. But they are the most flavorful, crisp, out-of-the-outside, laid back, totally amazing, making our kitchen smell incredible. Place it in the oven before your friends come in. Walk like everyone asks.ahwho are you Making? ”

Lava bread. Lavash is a lunchbox hero for both adults and preschoolers. It’s softer and more adaptable than pita, but much more sturdy than sandwich breads and won’t smoke when drizzled with grilled vegetables or vinaigrettes. It’s also convenient that there is a hole in the middle, like a roll of paper towels. This is something I am oddly grateful for.

Giant grilled beans in tomato sauce. These are always in the cabinet. They are always entertaining the crowd, but they are also my joy. When I eat alone, I don’t mind plating or heating. Simply open the can and grab the fork. [Here’s a recipe with them, too.]

Chicken thigh video. We all know that TJs shine in the freezer aisles, but these refrigerated chicken thighs are officially my favorite products. They are very juicy and easily jazz up with any sauce, but I personally like the most with zero decorations. Heat the skin side on the stove and eat in sauteed green piles. That way you can have a dinner party.

Dozens of sweet bites. This is another easy win for a dinner party. But in addition to being cute and elegant, they are really tasty. If you need a snack before bed, we recommend grabbing one from the freezer in your pyjamas.

Now, let us know what your current favorite is. What did you miss?
