Once the sugar has dissolved, remove the pot from the heat and let it cool to room temperature. This will give the fresh herbs (if you’re using them) more time to soak in the mixture.
Strain into a small pitcher or container with a spout. Make sure all herbs are strained.
Using a small funnel, strain the mixture into each. potion bottle. Label as desired.
These potions (syrups) can be stored in containers in the refrigerator. It will last at least a month if stored in the refrigerator.
