If you’re looking for a comforting drink that’s easy to make at home, look no further than this London Fog drink recipe. This is basically an Earl Gray tea latte sweetened with honey and vanilla or lavender simple syrup. Earl Gray tea has less caffeine than coffee, but this London Fog drink will give you a quick pick-me-up in the morning or afternoon. Please come and get me if you need.

London Fog is a drink that can be found not only on the Starbucks menu, but also in coffee shops large and small. If you like tea more than coffee, this is a must-try dish! The name of this drink comes from the steamed milk (foam) on top, which resembles a foggy day in London. This is combined with the fact that it is a tea-based drink, rather than coffee or espresso.

Related: Then try a Chai Latte, Dirty Chai, Matcha Latte, Turmeric Latte, or Starbucks Medicine Ball Tea.

How to make London Fog

Brew Earl Gray tea. Since you’ll be adding milk, reduce the amount of water and brew quite strongly. Add sweetener and vanilla and mix.

Now let’s make foamed milk. If you have an espresso machine with a steam wand, place the steam wand just below the surface of the milk and turn it on.

Tilt the pitcher slightly to create a swirling motion. Continue steaming until the milk doubles in volume and becomes smooth and velvety in texture.

If you don’t have a steam wand, you can heat the milk on the stove and froth it by hand. milk frother Stir until foamy.

Pour frothed milk over hot tea and enjoy.

  • You can use your favorite type of milk or milk substitute. I usually use whole milk or 2% milk in my latte recipes, but you can also use oat milk, soy milk, almond milk, etc.
  • Many people add lavender to their London Fog, but that’s optional. You can also add other flavors, such as mint simple syrup or rosemary simple syrup.
