Best Living Room Decoration Ideas of 2025
2025 continues to be a year of bold design trends. We maintain both fearlessness (moody hues, rich colour palette, curated maximalism) and soft (earth tones, curves, gentle spaces). Interior trends are a little slower than fashion trends. Because we don’t completely restyle our homes every year. 2025 is an extension of last year. We crave and gather highly personalized, peaceful spaces. Especially the living room.
So why make the changes? Think of your living room as a sanctuary for comfort and inspiration. It’s where the best ideas appear in a better environment than bedrooms. The living room decorations speak of stylistic choices made from comfortable places that simultaneously reflect the energy you want to wake up each morning. With this in mind, we love to incorporate new trends into your living space without completely overhauling the atmosphere.
The idea of reabsorbing frequent spaces is always appealing, but our designers note that incorporating living room decor ideas in 2025 can be done in some subtle shifts. Please. But you want to switch spaces during this year, but there must be trends for you.

Color Drench
Last year, the deep and bold colours re-entered the interior world in a great way. I won’t be anywhere in 2025. One way to make a big impact in your living room is another big trend this year.
“Don’t be afraid to play with bold, calm colors throughout the room with soaking wet colors,” says Moreau. “We’re dedicated to painting the walls in one color, trimming them, painting the ceiling, and adding dramatic talent to the space.” Don’t know what colors will start? If you want to get dark, Moreau suggests a navy. “It’s a bold, refined colour,” she says.

Statement Stoneware
The biggest style continues to be popular this year. If you want to make the article in the living room statement easier to use, Guevara suggests looking at stoneware. “The natural stones of bold veins, travertine, marble and onyx stand at the central stage of coffee tables, fireplaces and decorations,” she shares.
Perhaps it’s easy to think of stones in the kitchen or bathroom, but don’t underestimate it as a great focus in your living room. Guevara suggests combining stones with soft textures such as wool and boule to prevent them from being too cold.

Curved furniture and decoration
Have you heard of it? There’s a hard edge. The curves are fully accepted and the soft edges are incorporated into the living room for even more comfort. Moreau suggests curved furniture for the living room, like sofas and chairs. “These pieces create a comfortable, comfortable space that flows easily, whether you’re at home or a close friend of you,” she shares.
Isn’t it a new furniture market? Moreau also suggests curved decorations. “You can also add curved ornaments such as curved statement lighting, oval accent trays on coffee tables, and round accent pillows,” she continues.

Handmade craftsman furniture
If you’re looking for new living room furniture this year, look for long-lasting handmade artisan pieces. “Inexpensive, mass-produced furniture is declining as sustainability and high-quality craftsmanship take the central stage,” Butler says. “I think people see value in investing in the high quality parts that can be passed down from generation to generation. People want to get more from their furniture.”
Moreau agrees. “Handmade furniture adds uniqueness to the space because the handmade pieces are different,” she says. “One coffee table style made by the same craftsmen includes a slightly different look because it is handmade.”

Biophysiological Design
If you don’t have plants in your living room, this is the year to add greenery to your space. Guevara suggests bringing outside to create a peaceful and happy living room. “In 2025, the movement of biological organisms is becoming a major focus. It shows that connecting with nature at home can improve your mental health and reduce stress,” she says. Masu. “Studies have shown that being around green reduces stress, increases productivity and improves mood.”
Whether the real plants aren’t yours or perhaps there’s not much natural light in your living room, fake plants will work as well. Adding green drapes or accent pillows to your sofa can help you calm the space more.

wallpaper
“Wallpapers are experiencing a revival and brings fresh excitement to the world of design. It’s already here,” shouts Butler. As someone who decorated her office with the wall for her birthday last year, I can prove this. Living room wallpaper will have a big impact on your space.
“Today’s wallpaper comes in a variety of colors, textures and patterns, and is used not only on vertical walls but also on ceilings,” Butler continues. “That revival unlocks endless opportunities to incorporate textures, colors and patterns into the space, encouraging more creative and bold design choices.”

Earth tone
Switching the color palette in your living room is a great way to revamp your living room, whether you have a large or small budget. Don’t know what colour to look for? Warm neutrals and earth tones are the perfect place to get started in 2025. “The earthy colour palette will reign in 2025,” Guevara said. “Colors like terracotta, muted green, beige, caramel and even browns appear in fabrics, rugs and ornaments.”
One way to add earth to your living room is to use natural elements such as wood, stone, and woven fabrics in both furniture and decoration. Natural materials look beautiful against neutral color palettes, especially when there are pops of green from nearby plants.

Highly personalized space
One trend that has been held strongly in 2025 is highly personalized space. This means throwing trends on the sides and accepting your favorite colors and textures. “The living room is infused with more characters, moving away from the darker and brighter interiors, captivating darker, more dramatic tones and introducing more dramatic tones than feeling more intimate.” Lerner says.
If you like stripes, deep purples, or cool art you find at flea markets, add it to your home. Unique furniture? Lerner says he’ll go for it. “In the case of furniture, the unconventional designs and curves that offer both aesthetic appeal and comfort are now embraced as people increasingly choose bold choices that serve as their own form of art.”
