The most popular post on my blog is definitely “How to get to Tomorrowland” (especially if you just pre-registered, I highly recommend you read it). Every year, more and more people come to learn about this amazing festival. However, the question I get asked again and again is “How much does Tomorrowland cost? How much money do I need to bring?”
I’ve been attending the festival for the past four years so I’ll try to explain it as thoroughly as I can for you guys. I’m American so I’ve converted this into Euros. I’ll also include the cost of flights to the festival, but I know some people take the train or a shorter flight. But I thought it would be useful to know.
**If you haven’t read my post on “How to Get to Tomorrowland” yet, start there – it details everything leading up to the festival and what to expect once you get there.
The price of Tomorrowland
Flight
The cost of a flight from the US (Texas) to Belgium varies somewhat depending on when you buy your ticket. I usually try to buy my tickets in February, even though I haven’t secured my tickets for the festival yet. The current cost of a round trip flight is €999 or $1,185.
ticket
Ticket prices for Tomorrowland vary depending on what you buy: a one-day pass costs 88 euros or $110 (Saturdays usually sell out the fastest), a Full Madness Tomorrowland pass is valid for three days, Worldwide pre-sale price: 365 eurosPlease note that tickets can only be purchased for a maximum of four people.
This is expensive, but in my opinion, well worth it. You also have the option of joining the Tomorrowland Global Journey, which is more expensive but guarantees you admission to the festival. The Global Journey fee also includes round-trip airfare and accommodation. 2000 euros or 2370 dollars.
food
Surprisingly, the menu in Tomorrowland is relatively cheap. They don’t try to jack up the prices. If you buy something, it’s 2 for 1 ticket, so something that costs 5 tickets is actually 10. For example, fries are 2 tickets (i.e. 4 euros) but a burger is 3 tickets (6 euros). For me, it’s not too expensive for a festival.
Let’s say you eat two and a half meals a day (one half is a snack).
Total = €72 or $86
Drinking
The drinks offered in Tomorrowland are beer. My favorite is the cherry beer which my husband says tastes like medicine. Beer is 1.5 tickets so a small is 3 euros and a large is 2.5 tickets or 5 euros. Sodas are also 1.5 tickets. This is all from the last 3 years so may change. This blog Here’s a full breakdown of the food and drinks.
This total will vary depending on how much you drink, but if you have five drinks a day, Total = €45 or $54
stay
I don’t camp, I know some people like camping but it’s not for me, I stay in hotels and I can recommend you places to stay here, but in general you’ll pay around 70€ to 150€ per night depending on where you stay. Dreamville There are a few options: regular camping is 343 euros or 407 dollars (which includes the cost of the ticket) and comfort (which we recommend!) is 765 euros or 907 dollars, which also includes the cost of the ticket.
It depends Total = 250 euros or 300 dollars
Transportation to the festival
Of course, if you stay at Dreamville you don’t need to worry about this. But if you’re outside the festival site it’s pretty easy to get to the festival. If you’re staying near a boom town (Brussels, Antwerp, Mechelen, etc.) a bus will pick you up. There is a “Tomorrowland shuttle” that runs every few hours and will take you to the festival for just a few euros. So the total cost for the three days is about
30 euros. It’s difficult to get home from the festival because the buses are full. You can get a taxi home but it will cost around 50 euros per night (we always split this between the four of us).
Total for 3 days = approx. 42.50 euros or 50 dollars
Festival Wear
You definitely want to dress to impress. Bright colors, tank tops, jean shorts, and flower crowns are prominent during the festival. I try not to spend too much on this and either wear something from the previous year or add some new neon colored clothes to my wardrobe. I always travel afterwards, so I try to pack as light as possible. Here are some ideas of what to wear to Tomorrowland:
Total = €50 or $60
souvenir
Tomorrowland has a ton of items available to buy at the festival. I normally don’t buy anything, but last year I couldn’t resist buying a Tomorrowland hat, which was 35 euros or $42. That’s pretty pricey. Shirts start around that price too.
Total = €50 or $60
Total cost for Tomorrowland = €1,745.50 or $2,069.
I get this question probably once a week and I always answer around $2,000. But after doing all this math, I know I’m right. My three years at Tomorrowland were some of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. Definitely worth the money.
Do you agree? Have you been to Tomorrowland? Do you think my description is accurate?
