The Old Fashioned is my favorite classic cocktail. I love ordering it when I go out to eat, and I often make it at home too. I’ve tried several options for Old Fashioned Mix (also known as Old Fashioned Simple Syrup), and after some research, I strongly believe that the most delicious mix you can use is homemade.
This recipe is easy and can be mixed well and enjoyed in the fridge for weeks (or even months). Having this mix on hand allows you to mix cocktails quickly and with less mess. Simply mix with spirit, shake, and pour over ice.

How to make simple old-fashioned syrup
