After two weeks with Alex, my boys came back to our home in Brooklyn. As soon as we walked in the front door, they both started talking to me at the same time, which is my favorite thing. We also went to Target to get what Anton calls “back-to-school infusions,” including sharpened pencils and apple cider-scented body wash.
Have you seen it? Being black and dreamingI missed this British comedy when it came out in 2021 and am glad I finally found it. The six episodes follow Kwabena, a young Nigerian-British man who wants to be a film director but is stuck in a dead-end hiring job. It’s funny and satirical, showing the types of microaggressions he faces on a daily basis. I binge-watched the entire season in one day. Season 2.
