The world of K-beauty is full of surprises, but nothing could have prepared me for the Elizabekka Collagen Gela Pack. This is not your average Korean face mask. It is a thick jelly-like substance that sticks to the face in the most unexpected ways. Intrigued? I was too. Read my honest review about this unusual and dare I say strangely addictive skin care experience.

About Elizabeca Green Piggy Collagen Jela Pack

collagen gela pack* is part of the Green Piggy skin care line developed by Simple Deluxe for your favorite K-beauty brand, Elizavecca. This product is extremely popular, with over 1 million units sold. This remarkable success is undoubtedly due to its most unusual and unique feature: its thick gelatin-like texture, which is composed of 50% collagen. Some claim it looks and feels like slime. Well, you can consider it a fun and beneficial product for your skin care routine.

Powerfully coat your skin with 10,000 ppm of hydrolyzed collagen!

Packaging:

The packaging is classic, a typical plastic container with a small white spatula for hygienic use. Similar to most face masks and creams from Elizavecca products. The cardboard packaging features the popular piglet mascot wearing a green scarf.

Texture and aroma:

Speaking of this mask, the most important thing is the texture! Thick and smooth, it reminds us of fruit jelly or the famous Italian flan, a cream and caramel dessert. The color is pale rose or nude depending on the light. It feels amazingly soothing and comfortable on the skin, especially if it’s kept cool.

Another interesting aspect of textures is their ability to return to their original “raw” state. Scoop out the contents of the jar, mix and shake, and the jelly-like texture will return to its original shape. The same phenomenon occurs with hyaluronic acid memory cream and peptide bubble cream. Isn’t it attractive? That’s why Korean skin care is so much fun!

Now, about the controversial scent. There were some Amazon reviews saying that Jelapak has a smell. Some people simply say that it doesn’t smell great but it’s tolerable, while others claim that it smells bad. For me, I found Elizabecca’s Collagen Face Mask to have a pleasant scent. It has a slight gelatinous scent, which is unusual for a skin care product, but it’s not bad. It’s also sticky, and is there anyone who doesn’t like that sticky feeling on their skin? Thankfully, it goes away when I wash it off and moisturize.

material:

Here you’ll find well-known moisturizers like glycerin and sodium hyaluronate (a type of hyaluronic acid), as well as unique skin care ingredients like allantoin. Allantoin is a soothing ingredient that soothes irritated skin and promotes the healing process.

Additionally, the formula is infused with macadamia oil, which is rich in antioxidants and essential fatty acids, and cocoa seed extract, which protects skin from environmental damage. Both oils have moisturizing properties, making the skin soft and smooth.

And now it’s time for even more original ingredients never seen in skin care products before. This is about bacterium and fermented soybean extract. This unique ingredient is a prebiotic that helps balance the skin’s microbiome. A healthy microbiome is essential for glowing skin.

  • Hydrolyzed collagen in skin care

The main ingredient in the mask is hydrolyzed collagen, a type of collagen that has been broken down into smaller peptides. This is a popular ingredient in skin care because it may improve skin hydration and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. When applied topically, these small peptides can penetrate the skin more effectively than larger collagen molecules.

While conducting direct research, Advantages of topical collagen Although ongoing, some research suggests that it may stimulate the production of collagen and elastin within the skin, increasing firmness and leading to a more youthful appearance.

How to use Elizabecca Collagen Mask?

This is an interesting question. So, on Elizabecca’s official website, Jelapak is in the category of skin masks, but on the Amazon store it says cream in the title. I use it as an overnight facial or as a DIY under-eye mask. Or, when you feel like it during the day, apply a layer of cooled masks. Wash off at night or after 15-20 minutes, then apply moisturizer. The amount of peas is enough to cover the entire face, and use a smaller amount of peas for the neck.

My experience with Jelapack:

Collagen Jela Pack is the thickest Korean mask I have ever tried. Of course, I don’t mean this in a bad way. I have simply never seen a face product with such consistency. So, the application process is fun and enjoyable! When applied to the skin, Jeela Pack works its magic by creating a smooth jelly-like coat on the face. I like to store the mask in the refrigerator, so the cooling and soothing effects are even more pronounced.

After rinsing it off, my skin feels smooth and plump, and I love that effect. If you are concerned about fine lines or dryness, the mask will quickly address those concerns, so you can expect them to be alleviated. It is not recommended to apply the mask to irritated skin. If your acne flares up or your skin’s barrier is compromised, it’s best to wait until your skin has healed. Since collagen is an active ingredient in skin care, it can further irritate the skin and cause itching and burning.

Final verdict…

This is officially the weirdest K-beauty mask I’ve tried on my skin, both in texture and color! And that promise is definitely fulfilled. Of course, you can’t expect that a single topical application of collagen, even in its most potent forms, will miraculously solve all your skin concerns. but, collagen creamserums, and masks are valuable additions to your skin care routine.

If winter brings you dry skin, you’ll love this mask. My skin feels so smooth and baby-soft after the mask. Store it in the freezer to soothe and cool your skin in the summer.
