Tostada is a simple, ultra-custom-categorisable meal with Mexican origins. It has a base of toasted tortillas (or fried fried food), with several toppings such as seasoned ground meat, shredded meat, riflake beans, black beans, lettuce, tomato, coriander, cheese, and sometimes sauce. I think the Tostada is an open face sta costume with a crispy tortilla on the base. delicious!
There are many ways to customize your Tostada, but this recipe usually focuses on how you make it at home, such as tostada da shells, rifleika beans, seasoned ground beef, lettuce, tomato, cilantro, cheese, sour cream, or what I call “quesadilla sauce.” This is a quick and easy weekday meal that the whole family loves, despite my son usually skipping vegetable toppings.

How to make a tostada shell
You can create your own tostada shells with pan-fried corn tortillas. Add enough vegetable or canola oil to the frying pan and cover/submerge the tortilla. Heat over medium/high heat until the oil is hot. Next, add the shell and saute for 1-2 minutes. Turn it over and cook using tongs for another 1-2 minutes. Move to the paper towel so that excess oil drips down. Repeat as many shells as you need.
If you want the Tostada shells to be shaped a little like a bowl, drape a paper towel over an inverted bowl and then remove the oil from the oil into these. The fried shells are dried in a bowl and taken this shape.

How to make a tostada
First, cook the ground beef. In a frying pan or large pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat and crush into small pieces with a cooked spoon or spatula. Season with taco seasonings while cooking. Meat should be cooked without any remaining pink. Remove from the heat.
On the baking sheet, assemble the base of the tostada in this order: a thin layer of shells, resurrected beans, meat and cheese.
Bake at 400°F for 8-10 minutes until the cheese is very melted.
It comes with vegetables, more cheese (if necessary), sour cream and other seasonings. Throw in hot sauce if necessary. enjoy!

Tips and notes
- Quesadilla Sauce = 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 1/4 cup sour cream, 1 teaspoon, 1 teaspoon paprika, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, 1/4 teaspoon chili powder. If you want to add some heat, sprinkle a little cayenne.
- I like to serve these like tacos, the base is made and everyone can add their toppings. So, after baking, it’s where my family takes over their customizations.
- By having the meat already cooked, these can be made in part first. Then assemble and bake before adding toppings.
- Other great toppings include salsa or guacamole.
