Easy Caramel Apple Cider Mimosas

This recipe is sweet, sour and bubbly. caramel apple cider mimosa is A refreshing cocktail perfect for your next fall party, Thanksgiving brunch or holiday get together!

Traditional mimosas only have two ingredients. Orange juice and champagne (or sparkling wine).

But this recipe is mine, soInspired by the taste of warm autumn, Apple cider is used instead of orange juice, and caramel-flavored whiskey is added.

If you can’t find caramel-flavored whiskey, there are some alternatives in the Tips section below.

  • Champagne (or other sparkling wine such as cava or prosecco)
  • apple cider (not apple juice)
  • caramel flavored whiskey
  • Fresh apple slices (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith are both delicious!)

How to make mimosa

Mimosas are easy to make!

Simply add 2 ounces of apple cider to your champagne glass along with 0.5 ounces (equivalent to 1 tablespoon of caramel-flavored whisky).

Add several 4-ounce glasses of champagne Apple slices for garnish, that’s it. Delicious, bursting apple flavor!

If you prefer a sweeter cocktail, add more apple cider and less champagne.

How to make garnish

To make the apple garnish, cut the apple into four slices parallel to the core.

Then cut each section into very thin 1/16 inch slivers. Take 3 or 4 flakes and insert a decorative toothpick into them.

Before serving, place one apple garnish on top of the glass.

How many apple cider mimosas can you get from one bottle of champagne?

Each glass is filled with 4 ounces of champagne. Enjoy 6 mimosas per standard 750ml (25 fl oz) bottle of Champagne or sparkling wine.

three 750ml bottle = 18 mimosa serving

What type of champagne or sparkling wine is best with these mimosas?

You can’t go wrong if you choose champagne or sparkling wine while enjoying alcohol according to your budget.

Apple cider is sweet, so choose a dry (less sweet) champagne or sparkling wine.

If the label says “Extra Dry” or “Brut,” you’re on the right track.

“Brut” means raw or unrefined in French, and is less sweet than the “extra dry” you see on bottles of Champagne and other types of sparkling wine around the world.

Replace the champagne: If Champagne is too expensive in your area, sparkling wines like Prosecco (from Italy) and Cava (from Spain) are often more affordable and just as delicious.

Dress up your rims: Mix 2 parts sugar and 1 part ground cinnamon and place in a small plate. Rub the rim of the glass with an orange slice or soak it in water. Next, dip the rim of the glass into the sugar and cinnamon mixture. Do this step before making the mimosas.

More alcohol flavor: If you can’t find caramel whiskey, add a caramel-flavored vodka like Smirnoff Kisses Caramel instead.

Instead of caramel whiskey, you can also add liqueurs like bourbon, Grand Marnier, or honey whisky, before topping with champagne. One glass only requires one tablespoon, which is equivalent to half an ounce.

Test before serving to guests, as the final taste will vary.

For non-alcoholic mimosa: Use non-alcoholic sparkling white wine or non-alcoholic champagne that kids will enjoy. or fOr if you prefer something warm, try this hot mulled apple cider recipe instead.

1. Pour the champagne slowly into the glass to avoid spilling it.

2. If you’re making the garnished apple slices in advance, place them in plain soda water or water with lemon juice to prevent them from browning.

Easy caramel apple cider mimosa

This fall-inspired mimosa is a quick and refreshing cocktail perfect for your next fall or holiday brunch. This recipe is for one glass, but a standard 750ml bottle of champagne or sparkling wine will make 6 glasses.

  • 4 ounce well chilled champagne
  • 2 ounce apple cider, chilled
  • 1 tablespoon caramel flavored whiskey

For garnish

  • apple slices
  • Cinnamon stick (optional)

  • Pour apple cider and caramel whiskey into each glass.

  • Slowly pour in the champagne or sparkling wine.

  • Garnish with fresh apple slices or cinnamon sticks, if desired.

Precautions

Replace the champagne: Sparkling wines such as Prosecco (from Italy) and Cava (from Spain) are equally delicious.

Try different caramel liqueurs: Instead, try caramel-flavored vodka, rum, or other caramel-flavored liqueurs. Each style has a slightly different taste, so experiment before serving it to your guests.
Keep drinking cider: Would you like to try using apple juice? Use apple cider for the best flavor as it is not as concentrated as apple cider.
