Growing up, when my cousin visited Michigan, my mother and aunt led our children around the public gardens. We need to walk the road forever and pee, and ask our mother to take a picture of us running in slow motion (was this about a kid in the 90s?).
But since I’m a woman of a certain age, all I want to do is visit a garden like this! When Freddie and I went to Upstate this summer, we walked around. Edith Wharton Gardens in Lennox, Massachusetts. It felt like the deepest breath, and entry was free.
Have you ever visited the garden? Are there any recommendations? New York City has two major botanical gardens. Brooklyn And one Bronx. I also read it Part of Connecticut This also brings visitors, and of course many cups’ jaw leaders, to the gorgeous gardens. (How wonderful is it to have a Kozi Garden Tour around Brooklyn?! Will you come?
Here are some inspiring photos…

And of course, the closest and most loved one to my heart, my grandmother’s small terrace, England, Cornwall. Although she is greatly overlooked, her garden is thriving.
Are you a garden at all? Would you like to visit the garden? I want to hear it. This is Barbara King Solver’s Appalachian Garden with Icelandic sheep and 40 different tomato plants.
