Imagine Cologne Cathedral towering overhead, illuminated by thousands of Christmas lights, as you stroll through one of Europe’s most iconic Christmas markets. The market is right next to the cathedral and feels like you’ve stepped into a fairy tale.

What are the highlights? A towering Christmas tree stands in the center of the market and live music is so impressive that you can’t help but step inside. Yes, it’s crowded, but that’s part of the charm. Additionally, the view of the cathedral is breathtaking, especially at sunset when the market glimmers under its Gothic spire.
🎄 Heintzels Wintermärchen (Norm Market)
This is pure fun. If you like quirky things, this is the place for you. Gnome Market is divided into two sections. altermarkt and Heumarkt. Expect a Ferris wheel, an ice skating rink, and very charming little gnome figurines scattered throughout the market. You’ll feel like you’ve stepped into a picture book. Gnomes will guide you.

This is definitely my favorite market. Between the ice rink, adorable gnome decorations, and countless food stalls, this is a place that will make you feel like a kid again. Don’t leave without having a glass of mulled wine and riding the merry-go-round.

Now, imagine walking into a forest filled with twinkling white lights. of angel market It’s a sophisticated, dreamy space filled with artisan stalls and elegant Christmas decorations. If you’re a fan of unique handmade gifts, you’ve come to the right place. It’s a little more sophisticated than Gnome Market, but just as magical.
