Please tell us about your career and entrepreneurship. What was life like as an entrepreneur?
When I was a student, I never dreamed of becoming an entrepreneur. I have always been drawn to writing, art, and language. I studied design and merchandising at university, but I wasn’t necessarily a great student. Little did I know that my fitness journey would change everything in my life. I learned how to keep my promises and protect myself. My passion for health and nutrition naturally became a business. I started posting workouts, recipes, and openly talking about the ups and downs of my journey. My social media platform quickly grew because I wanted to share my knowledge with others. I wanted to grow a community of women who identified with me and have products that would help them on their journey. With the help of my (very) entrepreneurial husband, I quickly set up a Shopify website selling PDF workout guides. This escalated to selling physical products like resistance bands and we started sampling future supplements. bloom nutrition.
Life as an entrepreneur is exciting, stressful, beautiful, and lonely at the same time. It taught me a lot about partnership, leadership, grit, determination, and failure. What matters is not how quickly you can win, but how many times you can get back up no matter how many times you get knocked down. Bloom is truly the culmination of years of hard work, sweat, and tears. I’m so proud of how far we’ve come, but I know there’s more within us.
What has been your biggest learning over the past year?
The biggest thing I’ve learned over the past year is to establish my own values. For many years, all my energy has been put into our business. At first I needed it, but now I’m in a position where I can have a life outside of work. I have developed hobbies such as horseback riding and have a more active social life. There are things that bring me joy and allow me to bring my best self to work.
How would you describe your personal style in one word?
I feel like my style has many facets. If I had to describe it, I would say it’s simple, classic, sporty, with a Uma Musume twist. I love Kendall Jenner’s style.
