material

  • banana You will need two bananas to make this pint of ice cream.
  • milk You can use any kind of milk, including plant-based milk (such as almond milk), I used Fairlife milk for a little extra protein.
  • Agave You can use your favorite sweetener or leave it unsweetened, I used agave syrup for a little extra sweetness.

About Ninja Creami

I’ve tried other ice cream makers. Ninja Creamy Above all, the best thing about Creami is that the texture is perfect every time. Creami makes it easy to make ice cream that is super healthy and has very few ingredients. For example, one of the best ice creams I’ve ever made is just fresh mango frozen in coconut milk.

The basics of usage are as follows: Ninja Creamy Make ice cream in the machine. First, fill the prepared container with your ingredients of choice and freeze for 24 hours. I usually keep a few flavors in the freezer ready to go. After freezing, choose from settings like ice cream, sorbet, gelato, mix-ins, etc. I always use the “ice cream” setting first. After the first spin, the ice cream will have a chalky texture. Add more liquid (milk or water) to the center of the container and “re-spin”. After the second spin, it is ready to eat. At this point, you can also add mix-ins and do a “mix-in” spin to mix them throughout the pint. It takes about 5-10 minutes to finish a pint of ice cream.

How to make it

your Pint Container Combine sliced bananas, milk, and agave syrup. Stir to combine (it’s okay if the banana remains in chunks). Cover the pint and freeze for 24 hours.

Use your Ninja Creami machine on the “Ice Cream” setting.

Remove the pint and check the ice cream. If the texture seems a little chalky (or not as creamy as you’d like), make a hole in the center of the ice cream and add a tablespoon of water or milk. Then use the “Re-spin” feature. Repeat until the texture is creamy.

You can also top the ice cream with sprinkles, chocolate chips, or sliced bananas. Enjoy the ice cream immediately.

Tips on how to make it

  • Add protein Add a scoop of your favorite protein powder for a high-protein ice cream treat.
  • When to offer Creami ice cream is best rotated just before serving. Refreezing for more than a few hours can cause the ice cream to harden again, so we recommend using the “re-rotate” function.
  • label If you’re making more than one flavor at a time, be sure to label each flavor.
  • flavor For savory variations, add half a teaspoon of a flavored extract (such as cherry, almond, or peppermint). You can also add cocoa powder (start with 1 tablespoon) for a chocolate flavor.

Banana Ice Cream Mix-Ins

  • fruits Try maraschino cherries, fresh cherries, or fresh berries.
  • candy Try Reese’s Pieces, M&Ms, or chocolate chips.
  • cookie Try crushed Oreos or edible cookie dough.
