I’ve always been a sucker Focaccia. The bread is airy and crispy, making it feel like you’re sitting on the Italian Riviera. We have provided the Focaccia Mix kit many times. Sometimes there are toppings and everything is tasty. I topped the bread with cinnamon sugar (the boy was hooked). Another time I went with a delicious combination of roasted broccoli, ricotta and parmesan.

This week, I was inspired and decided to make it Focaccia Mix Kit Two ways: 1. Traditional method with olive oil and sea salt, 2) Topped with Briny Green Castelve Trano olives. The mix comes together in about an hour, stunning the smell of the whole house.

Making a Focaccia base is surprisingly easy. First, stir the focaccia mix and yeast into a bowl, then add 1/2 cup of hot water and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once everything is mixed, cover the dough for 10 minutes. Then scoop the dough into a bread coated with olive oil, turn the dough over and cover both sides with oil. Then gently spread it on the edge of the pot. Raise the dough for another 30 minutes, then drizzle with two more tablespoons of olive oil. Finally, use the tip of your finger to “dirk” the fabric. Bake the bread for 20-30 minutes and refill with sea salt immediately after leaving the oven. (This is the perfect recipeif you want to see it. )

result? A ventilated, chewy bread that you can’t stop munching on. Sea salt and olive oil focaccia makes the perfect side to any dinner. And we can’t wait to offer the olive version for the next game night. You can pair it with white wine, grapes and cheese for a delicious, modest spread.
