Air Fryer Salmon – A Beautiful Mess

My obsession My air fryer I’ll continue. This week in Saga, we share how to fry salmon. It’s very good! Very fast! Full of flavor! And it’s well cooked, but not dried.

This is certainly a new favorite in our home. This Air Fryer Salmon recipe is healthy and healthy. Added to Air Fried Wing, Air Fryer Steak and Air Fryer Fish Rotation.

I have both fresh salmon and frozen air fried. I have to admit that I like freshness.

However, I’m only a grocery store that is less than once a week during this season of my life, so there are plenty of dinner options that can be pulled from our freezer. So we both do according to what we have at hand.

All you have to do is thaw the frozen salmon first. Otherwise, it’s no different to fresh, unzered salmon air fries.

How to thaw frozen salmon:

You can thaw frozen salmon in several ways, but what I usually do is (if packaged in a sealed bag, the filet itself). This usually takes 5-8 minutes depending on the size of the filet. Another option is to leave the sealed bag in the fridge overnight.

Season the salmon before the air fries. My favourite spices: garlic powder or salt, seasonings, Italian seasonings, cayenne, pepper, lemon pepper, smoked paprika, or Cajun seasonings. If you’re not sure, start with salt and pepper.

FAQ

Do you want to place your skin in front of the salmon in the air fry?

yes i will. I leave my skin on throughout the process. Remove the skin before eating (so leave the skin on when serving).

Do I need to flip the salmon over when I’m doing air frying?

no i don’t. Cook the salmon skin below (as the skin touches an air fryer or parchment) and do not flip it while cooking.

Can I use parchment with an air fryer?

Yes, you can. For air fryer salmon, you can either polish the bottom grate with a little oil or add parchment under the salmon before the air fryer.

Do I need GL drugs for my Air Fryer Salmon?

It’s entirely up to you, but some great glacial options are flavored and soy sauce, mayonnaise and sweet chili sauce, Dijon mustard, or honey with lemon and garlic.

How do you prevent salmon from sticking to your air fryer?

Two ways to do this. First, before adding the salmon and cooking, you can lightly polish the grate in the air fryer basket with oil.

Another option is to use parchment. Yes, it can be used parchment With your air fryer. Add some parchment to fit under the salmon, but you don’t have a lot of loose paper that you can tie together or on the side of the air fryer (see photo below).

Parchment paper rounds some while cooking, so you don’t want an extra amount, but you want it to fit well under the whole fish you’re cooking.

How long will you air salmon?

For all details, see the recipe card below (or print), but saute the salmon for 8 minutes at 390°F. This cooks fish perfection without drying it. I love squeezing fresh lemon juice over cooked salmon.

Cooking times may vary depending on the size and thickness of the salmon you are cooking, but they can work well somewhere between 7-9 minutes.

It can be served with vegetables such as asparagus and broccoli salads, risotto, pasta salads, broccoli slaw, mushy peas and steamed rice.

Instructions

  • If the salmon is frozen, thaw first.

  • Prepare an air fryer by brushing the bottom rack with a little oil or adding parchment.

  • Brush the top of the salmon with oil and season well.

  • In addition to the air fryer, cook at 390°F for 8 minutes.

Note

– There is no need to remove the skin before cooking. Air fry with salmon on the bottom, skin down.
– There’s no need to flip the salmon while cooking.
– The seasonings can be any combination of salt, pepper, garlic powder, garlic salt, seasonings, Italian seasonings, cayenne, or seasoning mix.
– You can cook multiple salmon filets at the same time with an air fryer, but it is not desirable to overlap or touch them so that they can stick together.
– Use fresh lemon wedges to squeeze the top before eating.
