“I got my PhD in biomechanics, which is basically the study of how the human body works and moves. Looking at the body that way helped me move away from the ‘good’/’bad’ body paradigm that fashion emphasizes. I started thinking about how to create a pattern that would fit this shape or that shape. Nothing looks better than clothes that fit beautifully. ”
