Welcome to Spring Opalhouse designed in collaboration with Jungalow The collection is available exclusively at Target. I designed this collection during a transitional period in my life, when a caterpillar transforms into a butterfly. This was a time when I was widening the lens through which I saw life and beginning to learn to notice and take in different perspectives. So I named the collection “Bird’s Eye” to symbolize different ways of seeing. The hero pattern in this collection is actually called “Butterfleyes” and depicts alternating butterflies and eyes, symbolizing this time of transformation and new ways of seeing.
This collection is filled with beautiful things from Mother Nature, including birds and butterflies, flowers and buds – all reminders of spring, renewal and change.
This soft fabric features a butterfly print. Butter Yellow Quilt…
…and a new spring bath collection. Shower curtainsWe love the soft drape of the fabric and the tassel trim, and we hope this brightly colored print reminds us that we can all learn to see in new ways and transform into new ways of living. Butterfly Bath Mat and pillowYou’ll notice that we’ve painted an abstract shape on the inside of the wings, which is reminiscent of the phases of the moon, representing change and the opportunity for rebirth. This is also the softest bath mat ever – I always feel even more “refreshed” after a refreshing shower.
Floral sheets | Gold Quilt | Velvet pillowcase
of Butterfly shaped pillow This is probably one of my favorite pieces from the collection, it adds a whimsical feel to the bedroom, and it only cost $25 (!!)
But wait… there’s more! Things are getting better! Look up to the heavens and you’ll see our Early Riser’s Sun Quilt Or you might see a flock of birds flying across the sky like in our photo. “Flock” pillowThese pieces serve as a reminder to get out of your head. When you feel stuck, sometimes it’s enough to just walk outside, breathe in the fresh air, notice the beauty, the sense of openness, the infinite possibilities in the sky, the warmth of the sun on your face, and witness the freedom of the birds. Many of the most beautiful moments in life come from noticing the beauty of nature that is all around us. And I hope to capture that feeling in these pieces and invite it into our homes.
The cream and green combo gives off a conservatory vibe in the best way possible. I also love how all the textures and trims work together. Did you see the little pom-pom tail feathers? You know I love a conceptual tassel or pom-pom moment!
