Halloween is a magical time for kids filled with costumes, candies and lots of fun. When I was a kid, I didn’t have the joy of trick-or-treating, but we were always having Halloween parties at school. These are some of my most pleasant and lasting memories related to this time. But of course, without serious, creepy and delicious food, the party wouldn’t be perfect, am I right?
#1. Mummy Hot Dog
Let’s start with the easiest recipe, both adorable, delicious and easy to prepare mummy hot dogs. Legends, icons, Holy Grail of Halloween Party! I don’t know who came up with this appetizer, but he’s certainly a genius.
-1 rolled fabric packaging (you can make it yourself);
-One hot dog package.
– Mustard, olives, black pepper, or ketchup for eyes (favorite)
You can certainly make your own fabric, but the faster path is simply to buy a pack of crescent fabric, or something similar. So start by preheating the oven (following the instructions on the dough). While the oven is hot, cut the dough into strips. These will become our improvisational bandages.
Now is the time to wrap our mummies: take your sausages or hot dogs and carefully place strips of dough around them. Don’t forget to leave small gaps. The so-called “face” was opened. Once they’re slightly cold, you can become creative and decorate the mummy with your eyes with two dots: mustard or ketchup.
#2. Spooky Spider Web Dip
Creamy, spicy and smooth: these are the three main rules of successful dips! And what about the Halloween version? After that, you need to make it spooky!
– One cream cheese package, softening
-1 can of chick beans
– Grated smoked cheese or cheddar
– Sour cream, black olives, paprika, salsa, black pepper (your choice)
– Tortilla chips or vegetable sticks for soaking
#3. Ghostly Banana Pop
Next is my favorite. I like to cook these bananas on hot weekends (without eyes of course). A chilled banana covered in white chocolate is a simple, fun, healthy (relatively) option for a Halloween party. They can be made quickly and the kids love to help them decorate.
– Fresh peeled banana (should be pale, not green)
– Melt white chocolate or candy
– Mini chocolate chips, sprinkles
– Popsicle sticks or wooden skewers
The cooking process is so much fun, so help your kids! Ask the popsicles to be carefully pasted onto a flat banana cut. Next, place the newly made pops on parchment paper and place them in the freezer (30 minutes is enough) the banana ghost should be perfectly sturdy, so you can easily decorate it later.
While the bananas are cold, place the melted white chocolate and candy in a microwave safe bowl. Heat in a 30-second burst until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth, then stir well after each. Each is dipped in melted white chocolate and rotated to coat the entire surface. Immediately press two mini chocolate chips into the top half of each banana to create a ghost eye. Place the pops back on a sheet of parchment and then put them in the freezer.
#4. Witch’s Brewing Punch
The party is not finished without a celebratory drink, am I right? Prepare a delicious, sweet, and cool witch brew, sprinkle with fruit juice, soda and jelly worms. The best part is that you can customize it infinitely and create different versions for youth and adults.
– A bottle of lemon lime soda or ginger ale, chilled
– 1 can of pineapple, cranberry or orange juice, chilled
– 1 bottle of Green Fruit Punch
– Ice cube with gummy worms, jelly eyes and ice cubes shaped like witches
In a large punch bowl, mix the green fruit punch, pineapple juice and chilled soda. Stir gently to mix the ingredients. Remove a handful of gummy worms and spiders and float in “brewing.”
#5. Spooky Cranberry Fruit Salad
A simple and healthy dessert option, this cranberry salad is a vibrant, fresh dish that gets a festive boost with some well-placed gummy bugs.
– Favorite fruit mix (red and white work is the best: cherry, white strawberries, lichen, blackberries, etc.)
– Gummy worms, gummy spiders, or other gummy insects for decoration
– Yogurt or sweet cranberry topping
Cut the fruit into bite-sized pieces and place beautifully on a plate. To maintain the creepy theme, use melon ballers to create “eyeballs” from melons, or use peeled Lichi (looking perfectly like the eyes!). Place all the fruit in a large serving bowl, garnish with worms and add toppings and yogurt just before serving.
#6. Mini Monster Hamburger
Cute, small and very tasty, these fun monster-themed burgers will lead a rent-free life in your mind. It’s easy to cook and eat. For a Halloween atmosphere, don’t forget to adorn them with “fangs and eyes.”
– Ground beef
-TBSP Worcestershire Sauce 1
– Garlic flour, onions, salt, pepper
– Slider pan
– Cheddar or American cheese, cut into quarters
– Lettuce, ketchup, mustard, serving
Fry the small pate on both sides. Once finished, add cheese on top of them so that it can melt. If necessary, lightly toast the slider pan. Place fine lettuce on the bottom half of each bread. Top with cooked pate. Added Monster Face: For the fun part! Add two “eyes” to the top bread using sliced black olives or cucumbers. For “fangs,” carefully paste two small chips or triangular cheese onto the bottom of the top bread.
#7. Chocolate bat bite
And finally, add yet another baking Halloween treat for the whole family! This time, the chocolate bite-sized bat is the perfect last minute addition to spreading your party.
– Chocolate cookies
-1 (8 oz) cream cheese package, softening
-1 bag of candy melt (chocolate or dark cocoa flavor)
– A twist of a small pretzel
– Candy eyeball
Grind the chocolate cookies in a bowl and mix with the soft cream cheese. Shape the mixture into small spheres and place them on a parchment-covered baking sheet. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until they are firm. While the bowl is cold, break the remaining cookies in half to create bat “wings.”
Follow the instructions on the packaging to melt the candy. Remove the chilled bowl, soak it in the melted chocolate and coat it completely. While the chocolate is still wet, push two of the Oreos into the side of the bowl. To give the bat’s eyes, immediately add two candy eyeballs to the front. Return the completed bat to the baking sheet and refrigerate until the chocolate is set.
