The other day my kids and I were talking about our favorite season, and my answer was immediate: autumn. I love crushing orange leaves and finding toddlers wearing giant backpacks. Above all, it’s about bringing out cozy clothes from the closet. These are the five pieces I look forward to wearing…
1. Barn jacket. J.Crew is famous for them 1983 Stylebut I’m even more interested Madewell’s denim version and Trimmed waxed.
2. Brown corduroy. Nothing feels more autumnal than brown corduroy. Please tell me all the rich tints and soft textures. Five pieces: Short dress, Long dress, Long pants, Cropped pantsand Overalls. (Also, If money isn’t your purpose!!)
3. Rugby shirt. My dad played rugby in high school and college, and he is famous for saying, “Rugby is like soccer, but there are no pads or helmets.” I’m a delicate flower and I don’t step into the pitch, but I love the look of my rugby shirt. This fall, the sporty style is huge. Here are three great looks. brown, creamand green.
4. Track pants. Speaking of sporty, I have found many women in Brooklyn wearing track pants with sweaters. The combo looks chic, but it feels like pajamas. Adidas’s It’s classic Universal Standard There are lots of cool colors. Also my friend Jesse I just made it Pair with wavy Ricklux Stripes!
5. Red flat. virus Cesane Pair It’s sold out (hopefully I’ll come back), but here are two similar styles. Ballet and Glossy. They brighten up any outfit with that pop of colour.
