Autumn, more than any other season, is defined by style. Chunky sweaters, knee-high boots, and layered clothing (layers). When the breeze blows, I want knits and scarves. While temperatures are still warm in many places, you can still get into the fall spirit by adopting the fall nail trends we’re obsessed with in 2024.
Fall nail trends are the easiest and chicest way to embrace a comfortable, cozy vibe. There’s something for everyone. You can choose to go the neutral and chocolate toned route, reflecting the moody color palette of the season. Or go bold with texture trends like chrome and 3D. Every visit to the salon begins a choose-your-own adventure. To get the inside scoop on new fall nail trends, I reached out to: Molly LomaChill House’s head nail artist and her take on what’s hot this season.

1. Cherry Mocha
This nail trend comes back into the limelight every fall, but somehow never gets old. Maybe it is red nail theory Or red nails for a stylish yet classy look. Whatever the motivation, I always lean towards darker and bolder colors during fall. Choosing this darker red is always a safe and elegant choice.
2. Tonal tope
Taupe is an earthy shade that pairs well with fall color schemes. If you’re not into bold styles or new trends, choosing a taupe that matches your skin tone can keep your fall nails neutral while still taking your look up a notch. You can always change up your style by adding chrome to your taupe nails or leaving them matte.
3. Coffee tortoiseshell
This might definitely be one of my favorite fall nail trends. Due to its warm colors and delicate patterns, tortoiseshell fashion seems to come in and out of various trends during the fall. We’ve also already seen quite a few iterations of this trend pop up, such as tortoiseshell French tips.
4. Negative space
“A negative space manicure can be symmetrical, off-center, geometric, or oddly shaped,” says Roma. These nails appeal to the minimalist among us and can be done in both short and long sets, making them adaptable to different types of nails. The negative space look also highlights the natural health of your nails with a complement of refined shapes.
5. Color French Tip
French tips are a year-round staple for any occasion, and these colored tips are a great option to spice up the style we know and love. During fall, choosing dark browns, reds, or navy blues will help you match seasonal tones and changing seasonal fashion preferences.
6.Deep green
Deep green is taking the fashion world by storm as the “brat” summer draws to a close. This includes deep, evergreen nails that look gorgeous without going overboard with accents or designs. This color looks great on any skin tone, making it an easy way to glam up your look.
7. Moscow Mule
I’ve always loved the chrome trend, from glazed donuts to red on Christmas ornaments. Moscow mule nails are gaining attention as the next chrome nail obsession. This coppery look attempts to recreate the color of the much-loved Moscow Mule glass with a neutral base and copper or gold chrome.
8. Ombre
While ombre isn’t necessarily a new trend, “these nails can be done in a variety of colors and designs and can be subtle or bold,” says Roma. This trend gives you lots of room to experiment with seasonal colors and designs to suit your tastes.
9.Marble
One of the re-emerging trends on this list, marble nails are steadily making a comeback in a new and improved perspective. Many fall versions of marble nails include warm color schemes such as burnt orange and brown, maroon, and navy blue.
10. 3D art
“3D nail art is very eye-catching and is a great way to make your nails stand out and add extra dimension to your look,” says Roma. These nails are bold and may take a little more time at the salon, but the results are incredible. Some of the best 3D nails easily enhance the look of regular nails by adding texture and line art to traditional designs.
