In June, adult video site PornHub released its latest “”.Insights of pride‘ Reports, analyses user viewing habits and emerging trends on the platform.
As part of the report, Pornhub releases data for all countries and the US states, detailing the most viewed categories of adult content and top adult film stars.
Globally, the “Twink” category ranks as one of the most popular top views across Central and South America and much of Europe. The “black” category was most seen in sub-Saharan Africa and the United States.
Other trend categories include “groups” and “barebacks” (the latter of which is Australia’s top pick), as well as region-specific favorites such as “comic”, “massage”, “daddy”, “euro”, “Japanese”, and “Asian”.
In the US, data for 33 states and the District of Columbia has been compiled. It was not available in 17 states that porn hubs blocked access because they opposed the ageing law. Users require that they prove they are over 18 years of age to request that they submit a government-issued ID to access a site where more than one-third of their content is adult material.
“Black” was the most viewed category in 18 states and DC, including Maine, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, Michigan, Georgia, and Washington.
“Big Dick” tops the charts for states such as Vermont, Missouri, California and Alaska.
“Twink” led in North Dakota, Oregon, New Mexico and Arizona.
Ranked the highest in Louisiana, Iowa and Colorado.
Pornhub also identified “relative” gay categories that are more frequently found in each state, whether they were ranked first across the board or not.
The relative gay categories at the top of each state and DC show which genres stood out compared to national viewing trends.

Pornhub’s “Pride Insight” previously revealed that two conservative states (North Dakota and Wyoming) have disproportionately large numbers of gay porn viewers. North Dakota is the top of the list, with 43% viewers above the national average. Wyoming ranks fifth, 29% more than average.
Also in the top 10 highest percentages of gay porn audiences: Vermont, Rhode Island, Delaware, Maine, District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, Alaska, Connecticut.
Fourteen states had a lower proportion of gay porn viewers than the national average. Oregon had 16% less viewers, followed by Iowa (12%), South Dakota (11%), Hawaii (10%) and New Jersey (7%).
With the widespread New Age verification methods, it remains to be seen how long the state-by-state insights of Porn Hub will last.
