It’s like a very sick joke when Matt Gaetz is nominated as Attorney General, Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services, and Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense. You can see it. They are toying with the American people. But this is no joke.
We can only hope and pray that there are a few rational members in the Senate willing to speak out to protect our people. Even if all these Jokers are not identified, young and old alike will suffer. I worry about America’s children.
As we move forward, I truly believe that many of the American voters who put this felon in office will suffer more than anyone else and will regret it for the rest of their lives. Already seeing unvaccinated children contracting measles at alarming rates, RFK Jr. believes there is no need to vaccinate. Democrats like Colorado Governor Jared Polis can be seen defending him. I wonder what Polis is thinking. He is someone I used to look up to. If Democratic leaders can’t come together and denounce these horrendous nominations to protect their constituents, we’re in real trouble.
Trump’s nomination has terrified the world. In the case of Tulsi Gabbard as DNI, the New York Times said, “She has already been controversial for her criticism of President Joe Biden’s support for Ukraine, which has led some critics to label her as a member of Kremlin propaganda.” They are accusing him of parroting the same thing.” She also spoke out against U.S. military intervention in the Syrian civil war under former President Barack Obama, and in 2017 met with Russian-backed Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, but the U.S. In 2012, he severed all diplomatic relations with the president. One intelligence agency says she is not sure whether she is misinformed or simply aligning herself with President Trump’s “Make America Great Again” mantra. It was unclear how tightly they were holding onto some parts, which raised alarm among intelligence agents. The official spoke on condition of anonymity. ”
There are two cabinet candidates who have been accused of various types of sexual misconduct. Gates and Hegseth. Guess that makes them a good match for President Trump, who was found responsible for sexual assault. It’s very painful and very sad for the country. If Trump actually follows through on his threats, such as his threats of deportation, there will be many Latino men who voted for him and who will seek out their immediate family, relatives, and friends to get their doors removed from ICE. You might get knocked. undocumented people. Then the poor people, regardless of their background, who voted for Trump because they believed he could lower the price of food and rent. If President Trump follows through on his promise to impose tariffs on all foreign goods, the price of everything they buy will go up. So, voters who are Palestinian or support Palestinians (people like the people of Dearborn, Michigan, who voted for President Trump or a third party as a protest against the Biden administration) should not vote for President Trump. What if they supported everything? Is Israel doing anything under the Netanyahu administration, including the annexation of Gaza? Or when we reinstate the ban on new Muslim immigrants?
I feel sorry for everyone who will suffer under the Trump administration. That’s everyone who isn’t white, rich, or Christian. It’s the LGBTQ community, it’s women. All those who fell for his lies and believed the snake oil charlatan, and all of us who did not, should fear the jokers he is appointing to his cabinet. It’s amazing that we’re at a point where the nominee for Secretary of State, “Little Marco,” as President Trump called him, actually looks reasonable compared to the others. We’re really messed up.
Democrats need to unite and speak out now, and we need to prepare to fight the terrible things President Trump will do. It was interesting to read about the preparations being made for this. column “Democrats develop a whole new anti-Trump battle plan” in the New York Times” We’re talking about legal challenges to President Trump’s actions, not street protests. We’re talking about what Democratic governors are planning. Let’s hope it’s not too late.
But when we do that, we have to be ready to accept those who voted for Trump, who in turn find themselves screwed over by him. If we want to save us all, we need to welcome them into our reality and work with them.
