Transgender TLC star Jay and GF Pamela plan wedding in new clip

New TLC Series Jay & Pamela At this point, it is engaging the United States in a storm. This is especially great to see Jay Manuel, half of the reality TV couple, as a transgender man.

When trans people and their rights are increasingly attacked in the US under Donald Trump, it’s incredibly refreshing to see positive expressions on screen. And the preview of next week’s episode is probably the most positive as it focuses on the couples planning their wedding.

Jay Manuel and his fiancé Pamela Chavez first appeared on TLC in March, with the series focusing on the couple and how they deal with OI.

OI, also known as brittle bone disease, is a “genetic condition present from birth” that leads to “fractures with minimal normal impact.” A wonderful Ormond Street Hospital record.

The reality show follows a couple who are planning to realize their goal of getting married and living a more independent life by moving out of Jay’s parents’ basement apartment, where they had lived for the past five years.

Jay also revealed her experience as a trans man on the show, revealing to viewers that she was transgender “somewhere in high school,” saying, “I had no words to clarify my feelings. I’ve now gone out to my family. I’m really grateful that my amazing partner and parents are accepting me.”

In a preview clip for the next episode of the show, Jay and Pamela head to the pet supplies store to pick up some rather unusual items for the flower girl outfit, the dog Cheddar.

When they arrive at the store, Pamela immediately records the fact that adorable costumes on display are on display. And Jay is initially a bit reluctant to spend money on rather flirty items to be fair, but he quickly wins by how cute the cute cheddar looks with her gear.

“Cheddar! This is your moment,” explains Pamela when the puppy turns the catwalk…or should it be a dogwalk?

In another clip of the house, he explains that his signature bow is very cheap and tied up online. And Jay always looks incredibly smart and well dressed, so he probably wanted where it was.

The TLC reality series “Jay & Pamela” premiered on ET on March 4, 2025 at 10pm and aired a new episode every Tuesday at the same time.
