The transgender teacher was forced to resign after being targeted by Tiktok’s right-wing group Libs.

Rosie Sandri told NBC News that she was “heartbreaking” after she handed her resignation on Monday (March 31).

Sandri, who came out as a trance seven months ago, taught English for three years at Red Oak High School in Ellis County, about an hour from Dallas, Texas. She told her students at age 15 or 16 that she could call them “anything they’re comfortable with,” but she emphasized that she prefers pronouns.

In Tiktok, Sandri called herself the “trans goddess.” Her videos are informative and aim to educate people about what it’s like to be a trance. She filmed several clips in the classroom after school time.

The former students responded to her most generous videos with comments such as “the best teacher of all time.” “We miss you.

However, a right-wing social media account run by founder Chaya Raichik reposted one of her videos, leading to her death and misunderstood. In the clip, Sandri talks about the student being “fully on the way” with a change of pronoun.

“They call me ‘Maam’. They call me a “mistake.” They use my correct pronouns and know my correct name.

However, Tiktok’s Libs captioned the video: “I meet Zachary Sandri, a man pretending to be a woman. Zachary is a teacher. He says he gets a sense of gender euphoria from being called Maam and feels asserted when the student uses his female name and pronoun.”

The account then asked over 4 million followers. “Are you happy to teach this person to your child?”

Libs in the Tiktok report has been viewed over 6 million times and has attracted around 9,000 comments. Republican state representative Brian Harrison took him to X/Twitter and reposted it and called for Sandri to be fired immediately.

He went on to say: “The public schools (and the property taxes that fund them) are for education… not the indoctrination of the left.”

As a state representative for Red Oak ISD, I am requesting that this teacher be fired immediately!

Harrison later told NBC News that he was proud to help remove Sandri from work.

“Teachers who claim to gain gender happiness from minor students and teach boys that they can become girls should be fired immediately,” he said.

Following the campaign against Sandri, she was informed that the school was also threatened. She was placed on two days of administrative leave while the investigation was underway before agreeing to resign.

“When I signed that resignation, my dreams felt like they were being taken away from me,” Sandri told NBC, revealing that she had wanted to be a teacher since she was five years old.

Following her resignation, an email was sent to other staff members who were told they had no connection with Sandri, saying, “If your freedom of work results in disruption in your ability to do your job, there will be no consequences.”

In 2023, a survey led by Vice shed light on how American schools faced the threat of bombs a few days after becoming targeted by Libs in Tiktok.
