If you’re looking for a reason to take a hot bath tonight, Tom Daley had the perfect excuse. The Olympic diving champion recently posted a behind-the-scenes ad. check notes British Gas, and let me tell you, we immersion among them.
In the video, Daly lounges in the bathtub as if he’s ready to win another gold medal, but this time it’s to relax. “It’s great to take a quick soak in the bath with the entire film crew watching,” he casually joked. We’re watching every word, especially when he drops the towel to reveal that iconic speedo.

Let’s be real. We may not be in the market for British Gas, but we’re definitely here for this advertising campaign. Daly wrote in an Instagram post:
“There’s nothing worse than having your day ruined by a broken boiler. At British Gas, we’re committed to providing same-day service even if you don’t have heat or hot water. If you contact us by 11 o’clock, we will respond.”

Tom, who just won his fifth Olympic medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, recently announced his retirement from competitive diving. But don’t worry. He stays busy not only in the bathtub, but also with his favorite hobby: knitting. Yes, our favorite Olympian made headlines earlier this summer for handcrafting some authentic knitwear while watching a game. And as if that wasn’t enough, Daly joined Malibu Rum’s “Don’t Drink and Drive” campaign in August.
