JFI Productions has revived the cult’s favorite immersive theatre event Willowand this new version may be the most ambitious company ever. The show, which reopened on September 25th at the Beckett Mansion in Los Angeles, mixes gothic melodrama, interactive storytelling and intimate dinner theatre, calling co-founder Justin’s revision “Willows 2.0.”
The production arrived during JFI’s 10th anniversary season, showing the original and volatile live experience of 10 years.

My night with a willow
I attended the preview night and it was like what I did before. From the moment I stepped into the mansion it felt like I had been transported back in time to a remote country estate with secrets hiding in every corner.
The cast not only played, they played a role. Attentive maids, volatile butlers and quirky families drew us to the cold tale of unfolding rooms in their rooms. Dinner was served with anxiety, the basement felt dangerous, and each guest was whisked into a different space to discover fragments of the story.
Sometimes it was impossible to connect the entire story, but the mystery encouraged the conversation. The Stranger is eager to compare notes after the performance and share what they witness.

The revision explained that the revival not only resumed the original 2017 run, but also sold out more than 1,200 shows, attracting celebrities like Anna Kendrick and Olivia Wilde.
“We like to call it the 4K version,” Fix said. “We’re in a new home and there are spaces and scenes we haven’t seen before. It’s really Willow 2.0. ”
The show has seven story paths, which could potentially return to guests multiple times and reveal something new.
“Willow asks a lot of viewers,” the revision added. “We want people to be present, active and playful, when the emotional arc lands the deepest.”

10 years of JFI production
This season also highlights JFI’s growth as one of the definitions of Los Angeles’ immersive theatre companies. That flagship show Creep la It has been consistently sold out for nine years, and now the company is turning its eyes to the permanent home of its pieces.
“We hope Willow You can continue outside of Halloween space and become the West Coast flagship.
JFI was developing a Hollywood noir-esque murder mystery in 2026, further expanding its storytelling repertoire.
For now, Willow Back, Los Angeles audiences have the opportunity to sit at a dinner party where family secrets are more frightening than food.
