Season 3 of the Prime Video Fantasy TV series has finally debuted, with episodes 1 and 2 airing on Thursday (March 13th).
The third season of the show began by introducing a strange relationship between characters Avienda and Elaine. This is a relationship that is not necessarily specific to the book.
Some fans have driven the pair’s bond into platonic friendship, but Ayura Smart, who plays Abienda, said polygon She believes that clarification about the pair’s relationship has come for a long time.
“Their relationships have a very strong structure throughout the book, and are very beautiful,” she said. “It’s on so many pages, some people read it, some people don’t.”

The pair shared a kiss in Season 3 Episode 1, a change from the book created by showrunner Rafe Judkins.
In the book, Abienda and Elaine are attracted to Rand, fall in love with him and agree to share him. They are described as extremely intimate and ultimately employ each other as first sisters, similar to Abienda’s cultural customs.
Judkins said he decided to explore Elaine more deeply than in season 2, rather than keeping her as the “waiting princess.”
“She is one of four POV characters that you can see throughout the book series,” he said. “You begin to see that Elaine is more than the princess waiting for him. We always talk about the princess, Elaine, and the lion, Elaine, underneath.”
Ceara Coveney, who plays Elayne, said she agreed to an immediate “charm and draw” while waiting for the moment more, in order to gain more confidence in exploring what these feelings are, while playing almost Coy and waiting for the moment more on Elayne’s side.
Smart added that he believes the writer is “eager to establish relationships,” maintaining a love triangle between the pair and fellow character lands.
“I think [the writers] Independent of Rand, we were keen to establish a sloop line of what this relationship was – and we were eager – and [to have that] It’s not the focus of why they’re connected,” she said.
The circle of time Season 3 continues on March 20th on Prime Video.
