Halloween isn’t until next Thursday, but venues across the city are already getting into the spirit of the spookiest season of the year.

Surely any macabre scholar would be desperate to reach this world. 9:30 Club This Saturday, October 26th, is the last BENT. “See You in HellBENT” will be hosted by Pussy Noir, who will perform alongside Bambi’s Queens of House and Anna Latour. 2 blocks down DC9 is the Halloween-themed dance club’s third anniversary. Two days before this year’s holiday, thousands of spectators will flock to 17th Street to watch dozens of people run in heels. 37th Annual General Meeting high heel laceThe event, announced by Mayor Muriel Bowser and the Mayor’s Office for LGBTQ+ Affairs, will end at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29, but the festivities will be closed to 17th Street between P and S Streets by 6 p.m. Race check-in will begin after the race.
