The pop star released the music video for “House Tour” on April 6, transforming the concept of touring a luxury home into something much less polite. Instead of showing off his space, Carpenter joins actors Margaret Qualley and Madeline Cline to lead the invasion. Together they form a trio that treats trespassing like a leisure activity.
The visual ties into Carpenter’s 2025 album. man’s best friendbut this time the concept leans completely toward chaos. The house may not be theirs, but that doesn’t mean anything will be slowed down.
Meet the most stylish “cleaners” on the internet
The video begins with the simple act of placing a key under a mat. Things escalate quickly from there.
Carpenter, Qualley, and Klein walk around the mansion as if they had lived there for years. They drink from the liquor cabinet, wear expensive clothes, and wander from room to room without any sense of urgency. At one point, they relax in a bubble bath. Elsewhere, they toy with a collection of samurai swords. There’s also a wink to high art when you pass by the Mona Lisa. This is the type of eclectic, classy movie that Sabrina is leaning into with her music videos these days (and I’m personally enjoying every second of it).
Until you actually start stealing things, you’re more of a self-indulgent person than a stealer.
By the time a police helicopter circled overhead, the three men were gone, leaving behind an empty house and a handwritten note thanking the owner for staying.
Director debut with “Bite”
“House Tour” was Carpenter’s first time directing a music video, and she did not direct it alone. She co-directed the project with Qualley, adding another layer to their on-screen partnership.
The result feels purposefully crafted without losing the sense of play. The pacing is sharp, the tone self-aware, and the visuals lean toward a glossy absurdity that matches Carpenter’s recent era.
She teased the reveal on Instagram, calling the performers “the most beautiful cleaners,” which was perfect for the video’s balance of glamor and mischief.
Continuing a very special Sabrina Carpenter tradition
Longtime viewers may notice a recurring theme in Carpenter’s visuals. It’s the chaos that tends to follow her, and sometimes the body count as well.
“House Tour” continues that trend. While fleeing, the three hit a man with their car. There are no dramatic pauses or spirals. They keep driving.
It’s a brief moment, but it reinforces the quirky humor Carpenter has built in videos like “Feather,” “Taste” and “Tears.” Actions have consequences, but not necessarily regrets.
From festival stages to headliner status
The release comes just days before Carpenter celebrates a major career milestone. She will headline Coachella for the first time on April 10th and April 17th, and will share top pay with Justin Bieber and Karol G.
The reservation didn’t come out of the blue. Carpenter appeared at the 2024 festival, where he debuted “Espresso” and hinted at bigger plans. During a live performance of “Nonsense”, she told the audience that she would be returning as the headliner.
She continued by simply captioning the announcement, “A woman of my word.”
