Ryan Walters, a right-wing extremist who oversees Oklahoma’s public leadership, is a turning point USA chapter at every high school in the state.

Turning Point USA is a far-right, deeply anti-LGBTQ+ organization founded by the late Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated in a talk on September 10th. It focuses on organizing students in high school and university.
But Walters’ efforts may be short-lived. Media reports that a director, who has been criticized by both Democrats and his fellow Republicans, could resign from his post.

Regarding Turning Point, in a video posted on X on Tuesday, Walters said there was a pouring of interest into the organization from parents, teachers and students. The group stands for “Free Speech, Open Engagement, Dialogue on American Greatness, Dialogue on American Values.”
“For too long, I woke up to our kids when I saw the radical leftists who had teacher unions dominated the classroom,” he said. “They are fighting parents’ rights, they’re pushing them out of the classroom and lying to our children about American history. What we’re continuing is that our children understand America’s greatness, engage in civic dialogue and have their open discussion.”
