Rupert Everett was fired from Emily in Paris

Season 4 finale Emily in ParisBritish actor Rupert Everett starred as charming interior designer Giorgio Barbieri, who reunites with his old friend Emily boss Sylvie Gratou, while searching for a new Italian office.

Rupert believed his character would return to the hit Netflix series next season. However, he now confirmed that he will not appear in Season 5 as he candidly claimed he was “dismissed” without making a call.

Production for the next season Emily in Paris Kicked off back in May, Rupert remained disappointed when he hadn’t heard from the showrunner.

In a new interview with Vanity Fair ItalyStarr explained: “I was fired. I made a scene for the latest season.

“I was waiting for them to call me, but in the end it didn’t come, so they fired me,” Rupert continued. “Show business is always extremely difficult from start to finish.”

“When they write a script they think they want you, but then things change and you lose your character. I don’t know why,” he continued.

“For me, it was a tragedy. I couldn’t get through it, so I slept for two weeks,” Rupert told the publication.

Netflix declined to comment on Rupert’s claims, but sources close to the production told Vanity Fair that Rupert was once hired as Guest Star, saying his character’s story has already reached that conclusion.

It is not known at the time of season 5. Emily in Paris It hits the screen, but it definitely doesn’t seem to be looking at Rupert.
