The update came via Instagram on Monday, with stars Taylor Zakhar Perez and Nicholas Galitzine appearing in a behind-the-scenes video confirming that cameras are rolling once again.

The short clip, shared on the film’s official account and Prime Video, begins with the two greeting fans as if no time has passed. Galitzine returns as a member of the British royal family and offers a warm “welcome home,” while Perez quickly joins to reveal important details about the sequel’s title.

According to Perez, a “wedding” is red, white, royal wedding Not Alex and Henry’s, at least not yet. Instead, the event will focus on Henry’s sister Princess Beatrice, played by Ellie Bamber. Galitzine emphasized this explanation with a laugh, joking that viewers shouldn’t get ahead of themselves. He added that the royal couple’s royal path will remain firmly in place in the future.

A new chapter, a familiar heart

Plot details remain closely guarded, but the sequel will reunite much of the original film’s creative team. Casey McQuiston, author of the 2019 novel that launched the series, co-wrote the script with Gemma Burgess and Matthew Lopez, who wrote and directed the first film.
