“radiation” It is a talented artist, Keith Helling Lighting Biography, and made a mark that would not disappear before the AIDS youth died in the 1980s. Poirs Frank Ohala and Lumi’s biography writer Brad Gouch, who was in Katstown, Pennsylvania, draws artistic graffiti from early New York City. Following the worldwide reputation and friendship with Basquiat. 。
Haring, the eldest son of the three children and the only boy, learned to draw quickly from his father. Art quickly became a permanent obsession, and he pursued violently. He grew up in a small conservative town and was attracted to the rebellious movements such as hippies and religious “Jesus Freak”, but he found that he was almost attractive. I did it.
He studied commercial art in Pittsburgh, but later dropped out and worked and studied at the Pittsbar Gourt and Craft Center for several years. I moved to New York City in 1978. Art, create an interesting project. He also started drawing images on the backboards of subway and blank ads. One of his most distinctive things was that a shining baby and a RAW baby shot the light of light.
Gouch begins a biography with his own encounter with this public art. It was colorful and “very urgent”. The authorities could catch him, and they had to do a guerrilla style before they were drawn frequently. He was arrested several times.
Ironically, a few years later, he paid a large amount of money, flew around the world, and created a large -scale art for public property. The people were surprised how fast he worked, even in a terrible state. Occasionally, at these events, while the crowds were gathering, he drew artwork and gave it. He knew that his art in the gallery was sold in an incredible amount, and enjoyed sometimes to frustrate the commercial needs of the world of art.
His pop shop also revealed the urge to compete with Haring. Opened in New York in 1986, and in Tokyo, they put his art in all kinds of products, including T -shirts and posters. On the other hand, they allowed ordinary people to buy his work at a reasonable price. But they also made more money for him and increased his public image.
He created art for everyone. His most famous work, featuring a baby and dog, is colorful and friendly to the family. Some people think it is “lightweight”. He eagerly created murals and artwork for elementary schools and neighbors. But he also created art with social and political explanations and sexual explicitness. “Michael Stewart -America Four Africa” depicts a strangling of graffiti artists by a traffic police officer in New York. He drew “Old -fashioned …” for the men’s bathroom at the Lesbian & Gay College Center in New York.
Haring almost died in 1990 until his death. The Keith Hinging Foundation has made his work in the world, but also provides money to non -profit organizations that are blessed with AIDS education. Goch captures the complexity of Haring. He became a friend with a colored graffiti artist and a worker -class man with a date, but he was ignorant of how his wealth and fame affected these relationships. This book, a well -written and sympathetic book, can be overwhelmed in detail about life in the 1980s and a friend of Haring.
