British Pride organizations have called on LGBTQ+ venues to boycott Nicki Minaj following her recent comments.
On December 21st, the rapper appeared on stage at Turning Point USA’s America Fest and spoke with Erica Kirk, the widow of Charlie Kirk.
During the conversation, Minaj gave her full support to the “handsome and dashing” President Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance, and referred to MAGA supporters as “cool kids.”
The 12-time Grammy nominee also doubled down on her Opposition He urged California Governor Gavin Newsom to encourage young boys to be more masculine, citing his support for transgender youth.
“Boys, be boys…it’s okay. Be boys. There’s nothing wrong with being a boy…how powerful is that? How profound is that? Boys will continue to be boys and there’s nothing wrong with that,” he told the audience.
Her comments sent fans into a frenzy, especially those within the LGBTQ+ community.
On December 24, an account called @prideukorg took to social media to slam the rapper and urge LGBTQ+ venues to boycott Minaj.

Comments on the post were turned off, but people quickly reposted and shared their thoughts, many from upset Minaj fans.
One fan retorted: “You don’t speak for all gay and trans people. Shut up!”

Azealia Banks is a long history of making derogatory remarks. In July, he faced further backlash after saying that being gay and transgender is not “natural.”
The rapper has also received backlash from the public, although the majority of online responses have criticized the Pride organization and supported Minaj. rupaul’s drag race Star, Heidi N. Closet.
The drag queen dubbed the rapper “Maga Minaj” and promoted the rapper taking the time to respond by correcting the grammar in Heidi N. Closet’s post.
